Abstract
A wireless communication system includes a base station that receives information regarding neighboring wireless systems and updates and stores this information for use in handover of user equipments (UEs).
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for updating a system database of a base station based on information sent by a user equipment (UE), the method comprising:
receiving an information packet from the UE, the information packet including detection of adjacent systems of various types of radio access technology; updating the system database in the base station with information received from the UE; and the base station sending updated information to the UE as to surrounding systems known by the base station for reducing traffic, the updated information based on information packets received from other UEs sending other information packets including detection of adjacent systems of various types of radio access technology.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
the base station receiving traffic loading information from the UE; and the base station updating the system database to include traffic loading information.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the information packet comprises signal power levels of the adjacent systems.
4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising the base station receiving geo-location information together with a message authentication code.
5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising the base station communicating with at least one base station of an adjacent system at regular intervals.
6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising the base station communicating with at least one base station of an adjacent system based on a time trigger.Cited by (0)
