Abstract

A tamper resistant programmable battery and warranty and metrics tracking network is provided having an at least one network comprising a warranty and metrics information tracking system and information storage device storing data regarding the tamper resistant programmable battery. An at least one electronics module is coupled to the tamper resistant programmable battery so as to deter removal or tampering and an at least one point of sale/point of maintenance device is in communication with the network and the tamper resistant programmable battery, whereby the tamper resistant programmable battery is enabled by the transfer of data from the at least one network to the tamper resistant programmable battery.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A tamper resistant programmable battery and tracking network system comprising:
an at least one network comprising a warranty and metrics information tracking system and information storage device storing data regarding the tamper resistant programmable battery; an at least one electronics module coupled to the tamper resistant programmable battery so as to deter removal or tampering; and an at least one point of sale/point of maintenance device in communication with the network and the tamper resistant programmable battery, whereby the tamper resistant programmable battery is enabled by the transfer of data from the at least one network to the tamper resistant programmable battery.

2 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising the transfer of warranty and activation data input from the point of point of sale/point of maintenance device.

3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the electronics module prevents modification of the data transferred onto the tamper resistant programmable battery without the point of sale/point of maintenance device.

4 . The system of claim 3 , wherein the at least one electronics module is coupled to the tamper resistant programmable battery in a manner so that the electronics module is disabled or an indicator is activated if an attempt is made to remove or tamper with the electronics module.

5 . The system of claim 4 , wherein the coupling of the electronics module further comprises at least one of a tamper evident marker, a mechanical tamper indicator, a secure E-PROM chip, a tamper resistant software functionality, or firmware downloaded through the network so that if separated from tamper resistant programmable battery the battery is rendered unusable.
