Claims

Abstract

A composite body, such as a gear wheel or torsional vibration damper, including a radially inner hub body provided with outer profiles, a surrounding outer body provided with inner profiles, and an intermediate layer of synthetic resin material which connects the outer profiles of the hub body with the inner profiles of the outer body; the hub body being with an inner contour adapted to mount the composite body on a shaft.

1 . A composite body comprising:
 a radially inner hub body having external profiles formed thereon, said hub body having an inner recess for mounting said hub body on a shaft;   an outer body surrounding said hub body spaced a radial distance from said hub body, said outer body having internal profiles formed thereon; and   an intermediate layer provided between and connecting the internal and external profiles;   wherein at least one of said hub body and said outer body is a metal part produced by massive forming.   
   
   
       2 . A composite body according to  claim 1 , wherein said composite body is a gear wheel with external gear teeth. 
   
   
       3 . A composite body according to  claim 1 , wherein the internal and external profiles are not machined. 
   
   
       4 . A composite body according to  claim 1 , wherein after the external and internal profiles are formed, they are subjected to a cleaning process before being connected by the intermediate layer. 
   
   
       5 . A composite body according to  claim 4 , wherein the external and internal profiles are blasted. 
   
   
       6 . A composite body according to  claim 1 , wherein at least one of the profiles has an at least approximately sinusoidal configuration. 
   
   
       7 . A composite body according to  claim 1 , wherein the outer body is finish-machined before being connected to the inner hub. 
   
   
       8 . A composite body according to  claim 7 , wherein the finish-machining comprises tempering and precision-machining external teeth on the outer body. 
   
   
       9 . A composite body according to  claim 1 , wherein the inner hub is finish-machined before being connected to the outer body. 
   
   
       10 . A composite body according to  claim 9 , wherein said finish-machining comprises tempering and precision machining an inner contour of the inner hub. 
   
   
       11 . A composite body according to  claim 10 , wherein said inner contour of the inner hub is a tooth profile, which precision machined and then hardened after the precision machining. 
   
   
       12 . A composite body according to  claim 1 , wherein at least one of the inner contour of the inner hub and the outer contour of the outer part is hard finished after the inner hub and outer part are connected.
