Abstract
The present invention provides a driving method of a display device for expressing gray scales with n bits (n is an integer) by dividing one frame into a plurality of subframes. By this driving method, pseudo contours which occur in displaying images by a time gray scale method can be reduced.

a pixel including a transistor comprising In, Ga, Zn and O; a memory; and a circuit, wherein the circuit is configured to input a plurality of signals into the pixel by using the memory, and wherein the pixel is configured to express gray scales in accordance with the plurality of signals.

a pixel including a transistor comprising a compound semiconductor; a memory; and a circuit, wherein the circuit is configured to input a plurality of signals into the pixel by using the memory, and wherein the pixel is configured to express gray scales in accordance with the plurality of signals.
20 . The electronic book according to claim 19 , wherein the transistor has a bottom-gate structure.
21 . The electronic book according to claim 19 , wherein the compound semiconductor includes Zn. signals.

a pixel including a transistor comprising a-InGaZnO; and a driver circuit formed over a same substrate as the pixel, wherein the pixel is configured to express gray scales in accordance with a plurality of signals.
