Abstract

A pencil cap is described, as a lightweight baseball style cap having a crown and a bill and a 2-inch by 4-inch strip of reclosable fastener hook material attached to the side of the crown and a separate 1-inch by 0.75 elastic style reclosable fastener loop material sleeve. The positioning of the reclosable fastener hook material strip is 1.5 inches above the bottom ridgeline and located on either the left or right side of the crown to accommodate left hand or right hand use. The reclosable fastener hook material strip is used as a contact point to attach the reclosable fastener elastic style loop material sleeve. The sleeve is affixed around a standard carpenter pencil. The pencil cap with the reclosable fastener strip and reclosable fastener sleeve is used for convenient external storage and location of the carpenter pencil for use by carpenters, painters, plumbers, construction workers, draftsmen and the like.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A hat with a reclosable fastener system attached, comprising: a the cap having a crown and an extended bill protruding from one point of the crown; b. the reclosable fastener system comprising: i. a 2 inch by 4 inch strip of reclosable fastener hook material and ii. a 1-inch by 0.75-inch reclosable fastener loop material sleeve consisting of elastic style loop material; and iii. said structure comprising a contact point, that upon first member having contact with second member provides immediate storage for specific tool, a carpenter pencil, inserted in second member.

2 . The system is an external storage system.

3 . The first member is aligned and attached with commercial stitching 1.5 inches above the bottom ridge of crown on either the right or left side of the crown with the bill positioned toward the front of users head. The stitching thereby causing said structure to be stationary.

4 . The second member is comprised of an elastic hook material, circular in shape, resembling a barrel and sized to fit around a standard sized carpenter pencil.

5 . The second member is manually attached to the first member by the user thereby identifying second member as a moveable structure.

6 . The pencil cap, comprising the crown with an extended bill, and a stationary storage system attached to the crown. Whereby manual attachment and detachment of moveable part of the system, provides a convenient storage place for a specific tool, a carpenter pencil.
