Abstract
The present invention provides a method for stimulating hair growth, which comprises applying a composition containing at least one energy-inducing compound selected from the group consisting of 5′-AMP and ATP. Such a composition is particularly effective in increasing the DNA synthesis in dermal papilla cells.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for stimulating hair growth which comprises applying to hair or scalp a composition comprising at least one energy-inducing compound selected from the group consisting of 5′-AMP and ATP.
2 . The method of claim 1 in which the energy-inducing compound is present in an amount ranging from about 0.0001% to 10% by total weight of the composition.
3 . The method of claim 1 wherein the composition comprises 5′-AMP in an amount ranging from about 0.25 mM to about 1 mM.
4 . The method of claim 1 wherein the composition comprises ATP in an amount ranging from about 0.25 mM to about 0.5 in M.
5 . A method for increasing the DNA synthesis of dermal papilla cells in hair follicles which comprises applying to the dermal papilla cells a composition comprising at least one energy-inducing compound selected from the group consisting of 5′-AMP and ATP.
6 . The method of claim 5 in which the energy-inducing compound is present in an amount ranging from about 0.0001% to 10% by total weight of the composition.
7 . The method of claim 5 wherein the composition comprises 5′-AMP in an amount ranging from about 0.25 mM to about 1 mM.
8 . The method of claim 5 wherein the composition comprises ATP in an amount ranging from about 0.25 mM to about 0.5 mM.
9 . A topical composition for application to hair or scalp to stimulate hair growth comprising at least one energy-inducing compound selected from the group consisting of 5′-AMP and ATP.
10 . The topical composition of claim 9 in which the energy-inducing compound is present in an amount ranging from about 0.0001% to 10% by total weight of the composition.
11 . The topical composition of claim 9 , which comprises 5′-AMP in an amount ranging from about 0.25 mM to about 1 mM.
12 . The topical composition of claim 9 , which comprises ATP in an amount ranging from about 0.25 mM to about 0.5 mM.Cited by (0)
