. A method for treating chronic rejection or preventing manifestations of chronic rejection in a recipient of an organ or tissue transplant, said method comprising co-administrating to said recipient an effective amount of 40-O-(2-hydroxymethyl)-rapamycin and cyclosporin A.

. The method of claim 11 wherein the 40-O-(2-hydroxymethyl)-rapamycin and cyclosporin A are administered concomitantly.

. The method of claim 11 wherein the 40-O-(2-hydroxymethyl)-rapamycin and cyclosporin A are administered in sequence.

. The method of claim 11 wherein the 40-O-(2-hydroxymethyl)-rapamycin is administered in a dosage range of from about 0.25 to 25 mg.

. The method of claim 14 wherein the dosage is administered in a single dose.
