Abstract
Disclosed are methods for use of compounds of formula (I) in the treatment of CNS disorders such as dysthymia, schizophrenia, panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, pain, and memory disorders: wherein R 1 , m, X, R 2 , n, W, p, Y, Z, R 3 , R 4 , R 5 and q have the meanings as defined in the description.

A method of treatment of a CNS disorder selected from the group consisting of dysthymia, schizophrenia, panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, pain, and memory disorders, in a human in need thereof which comprises administering to said human an effective amount of 1-(3-{2-[4-(2-methyl-5-quinolinyl)-1-piperazinyl]ethyl}phenyl)-2-imidazolidinone, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
2 . The method of claim 1 wherein the CNS disorder is post-traumatic stress disorder.
3 . The method of claim 1 wherein the CNS disorder is obsessive compulsive disorder.
4 . The method of claim 1 wherein the CNS disorder is panic disorder.
5 . A method of treatment of a CNS disorder selected from the group consisting of dysthymia, schizophrenia, panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, pain, and memory disorders, in a human in need thereof which comprises administering to said human a pharmaceutical composition comprising 1-(3-{2-[4-(2-methyl-5-quinolinyl)-1-piperazinyl]ethyl}phenyl)-2-imidazolidinone, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a pharmaceutical carrier or excipient.
6 . The method of claim 5 wherein the CNS disorder is post-traumatic stress disorder.
7 . The method of claim 5 wherein the CNS disorder is obsessive compulsive disorder.
