Abstract
In general, the subject matter described in this specification can be embodied in methods, systems, and program products. An identification scheme that is to be used for generating at least one identifier for an object is identified. A scheme entity that represents the identification scheme and includes at least one aspect thereof is created. The created scheme entity is stored in a repository such that the scheme entity can be selected for association with the identifier.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 20 . (canceled)
21 . A computer-implemented method comprising:
creating, using a computer system, a scheme entity that represents an identification scheme to be used for generating an identifier for an object, and that includes at least one aspect of the identification scheme; and storing the created scheme entity in a computer-based repository such that the scheme entity can be selected for association with the identifier.
22 . The computer-implemented method of claim 21 , wherein the aspect comprises a scheme version identifier that identifies a version of the identification scheme.
23 . The computer-implemented method of claim 21 , wherein the aspect comprises a scheme agency identifier that identifies an agency responsible for the identification scheme.
24 . The computer-implemented method of claim 21 , wherein the aspect comprises a maximum length for generating the identifier.
25 . The computer-implemented method of claim 21 , wherein the aspect comprises a pattern for the identifier.
26 . The computer-implemented method of claim 21 , wherein the aspect comprises a number range for the identifier.
27 . A computer program product tangibly embodied in a machine-readable storage device and comprising instructions that when executed by a processor perform a method, the method comprising:
creating, using a computer system, a scheme entity that represents an identification scheme to be used for generating an identifier for an object, and that includes at least one aspect of the identification scheme; and storing the created scheme entity in a computer-based repository such that the scheme entity can be selected for association with the identifier.
28 . The computer program product of claim 27 , wherein the aspect comprises a scheme version identifier that identifies a version of the identification scheme.
29 . The computer program product of claim 27 , wherein the aspect comprises a scheme agency identifier that identifies an agency responsible for the identification scheme.
30 . The computer program product of claim 27 , wherein the aspect comprises a maximum length for generating the identifier.
31 . The computer program product of claim 27 , wherein the aspect comprises a maximum length for generating the identifier.
32 . The computer program product of claim 27 , wherein the aspect comprises a pattern of the identifier.
33 . The computer program product of claim 27 , wherein the aspect comprises a number range of the identifier.
34 . A computer system comprising:
a programmable processor; and a machine-readable storage device coupled to the processor having instructions stored therein, which when executed by the processor causes the processor to perform a method, the method comprising:
creating, using a computer system, a scheme entity that represents an identification scheme to be used for generating an identifier for an object, and that includes at least one aspect of the identification scheme; and
storing the created scheme entity in a computer-based repository such that the scheme entity can be selected for association with the identifier.Cited by (0)
