Pharmaceutical Composition For Treating Nephropathy and Healthy Food Comprising Herb Extracts

Abstract

This invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition and health food comprising herb extracts of one or more herbs selected from the group consisting of Puerariae Radix, Bombycis corpus and Araliae Continentalis Radix. The herb medicine of this invention comprising a single or mixed composition may be useful for the prevention and treatment of renal diseases as well as improvement of renal functions.

1 . A pharmaceutical composition comprising herb extracts of at least one and more herbs selected from the group consisting of Puerariae Radix, Bombycis corpus and Araliae Continentalis Radix for the prevention and treatment of nephropathy. 
   
   
       2 . The pharmaceutical composition according to  claim 1 , wherein the herb extracts further comprises extract of Mori Cortex. 
   
   
       3 . The pharmaceutical composition according to  claim 2 , wherein the herb extracts comprises extract of Puerariae Radix and extract of Mori Cortex. 
   
   
       4 . The pharmaceutical composition according to  claim 2 , wherein the herb extracts comprises extracts of Puerariae Radix, Araliae Continentalis Radix, Bombycis corpus and Mori Cortex. 
   
   
       5 . The pharmaceutical composition according to any one of  claims 1 ˜ 4 , wherein renal disease is induced by diabetic complications. 
   
   
       6 . The pharmaceutical composition according to any one of  claims 1 ˜ 4 , wherein renal disease is induced by nephrotoxicity. 
   
   
       7 . The pharmaceutical composition according to any one of  claims 1 ˜ 4 , wherein renal disease is an acute renal failure. 
   
   
       8 . The pharmaceutical composition according to any one of  claims 1 ˜ 4 , wherein said extract is prepared in a form of soft extract or dried powder by lyophilization or using spray drier or fluidized bed machine. 
   
   
       9 . A health food containing herb extracts of one or more herbs selected from the group consisting of Puerariae Radix, Araliae Continentalis Radix and Bombycis corpus for the improvement of renal function. 
   
   
       10 . The health food according to  claim 9 , wherein the herb extracts further comprises Mori Cortex.
