Abstract

A non-tacky adhesive fastening system may comprise an engaging member having an engaging surface with a non-tacky adherent disposed thereon and a receiving member having a receiving surface with a non-tacky adherend disposed thereon. The non-tacky adherent may be pre-engaged to the non-tacky adherend. The non-tacky adhesive fastening system, after aging, exhibits a T-Peel of less than about 12 N/inch and is refastenable.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A non-tacky adhesive fastening system comprising:
 a) an engaging member having an engaging surface with a non-tacky adherent disposed thereon; and b) a receiving member having a receiving surface with a non-tacky adherend disposed thereon, wherein the engaging member is refastenably pre-engaged to the receiving member, and wherein said non-tacky adhesive fastening system, after aging, exhibits a T-Peel of less than about 12 N/inch, and wherein the non-tacky adherent and non-tacky adherend combinations include SBS or SIS block copolymers/PET, SBS or SIS block copolymers/oriented polyamides, SBS or SIS block copolymers/surface modified oriented polyamides, SBS or SIS block copolymers/polyolefins, SBS or SIS block copolymers/oriented polyolefins, SBS or SIS block copolymers/surface modified polyolefins, and SBS or SIS block copolymers/SBS or SIS block copolymers.

2 . The non-tacky adhesive fastening system of claim 1 , wherein said system, after aging, exhibits a T-Peel force of from about 2 N/inch to about 10 N/inch.

3 . The non-tacky adhesive fastening system of claim 1 , wherein said system, after aging and three refastening events, exhibits a Dynamic Shear of at least about 20 N/inch 2 .

4 . The non-tacky adhesive fastening system of claim 1 , wherein said system, after aging and three refastening events, exhibits a Shear Hang Time of at least about 50 minutes.

5 . The non-tacky adhesive fastening system of claim 3 , wherein said system, after aging and three refastening events, exhibits a Shear Hang Time of at least about 50 minutes.

6 . The non-tacky adhesive fastening system of claim 1 , wherein said system is a fastener for a reclosable bag.

7 . The non-tacky adhesive fastening system of claim 1 , wherein said system is a fastener for a disposable absorbent article.

8 . The non-tacky adhesive fastening system of claim 1 , wherein said system is a fastener for a two-component tape.

9 . The non-tacky adhesive fastening system of claim 1 , wherein the non-tacky adherend is modified by a high surface energy treatment.

10 . An absorbent article comprising:
 a) an absorbent assembly comprising a front waist region, a rear waist region, and a crotch region longitudinally between and connecting said front and said rear waist regions, the front waist region and the rear waist region having an open configuration and a closed configuration about the waist of a wearer; b) a pre-engaged, refastenable, non-tacky adhesive fastening system comprising a non-tacky adherent engaged to a non-tacky adherend to close the front waist region and the rear waist region in the closed configuration, wherein said pre-engaged, non-tacky adhesive fastening system, after aging, exhibits a T-Peel of less than about 12 N/inch, further wherein the non-tacky adherent and non-tacky adherend combinations include SBS or SIS block copolymers/PET, SBS or SIS block copolymers/oriented polyamides, SBS or SIS block copolymers/surface modified oriented polyamides, SBS or SIS block copolymers/polyolefins, SBS or SIS block copolymers/oriented polyolefins, SBS or SIS block copolymers/surface modified polyolefins, and SBS or SIS block copolymers/SBS or SIS block copolymers.

11 . The absorbent article of claim 10 , wherein the pre-engaged, refastenable, non-tacky adhesive fastening system, after aging, exhibits a T-Peel of less than about 10 N/inch.

12 . The absorbent article of claim 10 , wherein the pre-engaged, refastenable, non-tacky adhesive fastening system, after aging and three refastening events, exhibits a Shear Hang Time of greater than about 50 minutes.

13 . The absorbent article of claim 10 , wherein the pre-engaged, refastenable, non-tacky adhesive fastening system, after aging and three refastening events, exhibits a Dynamic Shear of greater than about 20 N/inch 2 .

14 . The absorbent article of claim 10 , wherein the absorbent article further comprises a pair of side panels, each of the pair of side panels comprising a front side panel disposed laterally from said front waist region and a rear side panel disposed laterally from said rear waist region.

15 . The absorbent article of claim 14 , wherein the absorbent article further comprises a mechanical fastening system comprising a first member and a second member, wherein the first member is joined to the front side panel and the second member is joined to the rear side panel, and wherein the non-tacky adherent is disposed on the first member and the non-tacky adherend is disposed on the second member.

16 . The absorbent article of claim 15 , wherein the mechanical fastening system is selected from the group consisting of a hook and loop fastening system, a hook and hook fastening system, a tab and slot fastening system, a buckle, buttons, snaps, and combinations thereof.

17 . The absorbent article of claim 16 , wherein the mechanical fastening system is a tab and slot fastening system.
