This invention provides a means to secure the garbage receptacle lid to the container and have the ability to secure the lid over the garbage receptacle even in the event that the refuse is higher than the upper edge of the opening of the container. It allows for quick detachment when the garbage containers are emptied manually or by automated refuse trucks.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A combination garbage receptacle and an adjustably secured lid, wherein said garbage receptacle comprises a rigid container with sidewalls and a bottom plate surrounding an interior space, and having an open upper end that is large enough to receive a predetermined size of refuse, and at least one hook-system fastener adhered by adhesive to at least one location on an outer surface of said sidewalls; wherein said adjustably secured lid comprises a rigid top piece with a circumference and a shape to allow for a minimal overlapping of said open upper end of said garbage receptacle, and at least one flexible strap adhered by adhesive to said rigid top piece, wherein said a built-in-hook fastener is stitched to said flexible loop strap at a predetermined position.

2 . A combination garbage receptacle and an adjustably secured lid, wherein said garbage receptacle comprises a rigid container with sidewalls and a bottom plate surrounding an interior space, and having an open upper end that is large enough to receive a predetermined size of refuse, and at least one built-in-hook fastener adhered by adhesive to at least one location on an outer surface of said sidewalls, and at least one built-in-hook fastener adhered by adhesive to at least one location on said adjustably secured lid; wherein said adjustably secured lid comprises a rigid top piece with a circumference and a shape to allow for a minimal overlapping of said open upper end of said garbage receptacle, and at least one built-in-hook fastener adhered by adhesive to said rigid top piece, wherein said flexible loop strap has a loop-type fastener to connect to said hook-system type on outer surface of said sidewalls.

3 . A combination garbage receptacle as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said adhesive is incorporated in the built-in-hook on the opposite side for a peel and stick application.

4 . A combination garbage receptacle as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said a built-in-hook is used to attached the flexible loop strap from dangling when not in use.

5 . A combination garbage receptacle as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said the flexible loop strap will release automatically when the refuse exceeds the predetermined interior space with containers when used in the automatic trash dumping process.
