Abstract

In particular embodiments, the present disclosure provides for a container for preparing a liquid, and a method for forming a container for preparing a liquid. For example, a container includes a bottom section operable to store a liquid. The container further includes a top section coupled to the bottom section. The top section substantially encloses the liquid in the container. The top section includes at least one opening operable to provide access to the liquid. The container further includes at least one storage unit. The storage unit is operable to store an additive. The storage unit is further configured to allow selective release of the additive into the liquid.

The container of claim 1 , wherein the storage unit is formed in the top section, the storage unit having a knob that is accessible from an outside surface of the top section, the storage unit being further configured to allow selective release of the additive into the liquid when the knob is activated from the outside surface of the top section.

4 . The container of claim 1 , further comprising a channel formed in the top section, the channel operable to hold the storage unit on the top section, wherein the storage unit is configured:
to be removed from the channel; to be opened; and to allow selective release of the additive into the container through the opening.

5 . The container of claim 1 , further comprising an aroma strip coupled to an inside surface of the top section, the aroma strip operable to release aroma when the container is heated.

6 . The container of claim 1 , wherein the liquid comprises coffee.

         7 . The container of claim 1 , wherein:
the at least one storage unit comprises at least two storage units; the additive stored in the first storage unit comprises cream in a dry form; and the additive stored in the second storage unit comprises sugar.

8 . The container of claim 1 , further comprising at least one air vent, and wherein the container is further operable to be heated in a microwave.

         9 . The container of claim 1 , wherein:
the liquid comprises water; the at least one storage unit comprises at least three storage units; the additive stored in the first storage unit comprises cream in a dry form; the additive stored in the second storage unit comprises sugar; and the additive stored in the third storage unit comprises a coffee mix operable to be combined with the water in order to make coffee.

         10 . The container of claim 1 , wherein:
the at least one storage unit comprises at least two storage units; the first storage unit is operable to store a first dose of the additive, and the second storage unit is operable to store a second dose of the additive.

         11 . A method of forming a container, comprising:
forming a bottom section operable to store a liquid; forming a top section operable to enclose the liquid in the container, the top section including at least one opening operable to provide access to the liquid; coupling the top section to the bottom section; and forming at least one storage unit, the storage unit operable to store an additive, the storage unit further configured to allow selective release of the additive into the liquid.

12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein forming the storage unit comprises forming the storage unit in the top section, the storage unit having a portion accessible from an outside surface of the top section, the storage unit being further configured to allow selective release of the additive into the liquid when pressure is applied to the portion of the storage unit from the outside surface of the container.

13 . The method of claim 11 , wherein forming the storage unit comprises forming the storage unit in the top section, the storage unit having a knob that is accessible from an outside surface of the top section, the storage unit being configured to allow selective release of the additive into the liquid when the knob is activated from the outside surface of the container.

14 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising forming a channel in the top section, the channel operable to hold the storage unit on the top section, wherein the storage unit is configured:
