Claims

Abstract

The present invention provides compositions comprising an anti-angiogenic factor, and a polymeric carrier. Representative examples of anti-angiogenic factors include Anti-Invasive Factor, Retinoic acids and derivatives thereof, and paclitaxel. Also provided are methods for embolizing blood vessels, and eliminating biliary, urethral, esophageal, and tracheal/bronchial obstructions.

         10 . A composition, comprising:
 (a) paclitaxel; and   (b) a polymeric carrier which comprises poly (lactide-co-glycolide);   wherein the composition is in the form of a pellet.   
     
     
         11 . A composition, comprising:
 (a) paclitaxel; and   (b) a polymeric carrier which comprises poly (lactide-co-glycolide);   wherein the composition is in the form of a slab.   
     
     
         12 . A composition, comprising:
 (a) paclitaxel; and   (b) a polymeric carrier which comprises poly (lactide-co-glycolide);   wherein the composition is in the form of a film.   
     
     
         13 . A composition, comprising:
 (a) paclitaxel; and   (b) a polymeric carrier which comprises poly (lactide-co-glycolide);   wherein the composition is in the form of a spray.   
     
     
         14 . The composition according to any one of  claims 10 - 13 , wherein said composition comprises 5-30 micrograms of said paclitaxel. 
     
     
         15 . The composition according to  claim 14 , wherein said composition comprises 5 micrograms of said paclitaxel. 
     
     
         16 . The composition according to  claim 14 , wherein said composition comprises 10 micrograms of said paclitaxel. 
     
     
         17 . The composition according to  claim 14 , wherein said composition comprises 30 micrograms of said paclitaxel.
