Abstract

Plastic bag (WB) containing stacked soft hygienic products (FCS), e.g. sanitary napkins, panty liners, diapers, or the like, which can be made on-line from a roll of film. The plastic bag comprises one MD seal ( 35 ) along one closure corner ( 46 ) and is without a fold line in the center of a side panel. An artwork may be present which is continuous in the area of the MD seal. The products may be in a compressed state in the closed plastic bag.

1 . A plastic bag containing stacked soft hygienic products, wherein the plastic bag comprises one machine-direction seal along one closure corner, and wherein the plastic bag does not present a folding line in the center of a side panel. 
     
     
         2 . A plastic bag according to  claim 1 , wherein the stack of products is contained in the closed plastic bag in a cross-direction compressed state. 
     
     
         3 . A plastic bag according to  claim 2  wherein the in-bag compression is of at least about 15%. 
     
     
         4 . A plastic bag according to  claim 3 , wherein the in-bag compression is of at least about 20%. 
     
     
         5 . A plastic bag according to  claim 3 , wherein the in-bag compression is of from about 20% to about 30%. 
     
     
         6 . A plastic bag according to  claim 1  wherein the bag comprises an artwork which is continuous in the area of the machine-direction seal. 
     
     
         7 . A plastic bag according to  claim 1  wherein the plastic bag comprises opening means. 
     
     
         8 . A plastic bag according to  claim 7 , wherein the opening means comprises a perforated line or segment line orientated in machine direction. 
     
     
         9 . A plastic bag according to  claim 7  wherein the perforated line extend continuously along the whole length of the plastic bag. 
     
     
         10 . A plastic bag according to  claim 7 , wherein the opening means comprises a perforated line orientated in cross-direction 
     
     
         11 . A plastic bag according to  claim 7 , wherein the opening means comprises perforation that defines a two dimensional surface area on the surface of the bag that can be used as a flap for opening the bag and dispensing enclosed products. 
     
     
         12 . A plastic bag according to  claim 11  wherein a tape is placed on the flap to allow closing and re-opening of the flap. 
     
     
         13 . A plastic bag according to  claim 1  wherein the bag comprises two cross-direction seals and wherein the trim in at least one of the cross-direction seal is less than 2 mm large along the length of the trim. 
     
     
         14 . A plastic bag according to  claim 1  wherein the bag comprises two cross-direction seals and wherein at least one of the cross-direction seals comprises an extended cross seal trim area. 
     
     
         15 . A plastic bag according to  claim 14  wherein the extended cross seal trim area comprises hanging means. 
     
     
         16 . A plastic bag according to  claim 14  wherein the extended cross seal trim area comprises opening and re-closing means. 
     
     
         17 . A plastic bag according to  claim 16  wherein the extended seal trim comprises opening and re-closing means selected from the group consisting of zip-lock components, hook and loop fastener components, drawstring material components and combination thereof.
