Abstract

A display-pixel and photosensor-element device for use as a display and a camera, the device comprising a plurality of light-emitting diode (LED) display elements and a plurality of light-sensitive photosensor devices, together fabricated onto an essentially planar surface so as to create a device that can be used as a display and a camera. In an implementation, a plurality of micro-optic structures can be associated with the plurality of light-sensitive devices. In various exemplary implementations, the LEDs may comprise organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) or stacked organic light emitting diode (SOLED). In an implementation, the light-emitting diode and the light-sensitive device are integrated into a single element. In an implementation, the device is configured to serve as either or both of a color light sensor array and a display comprising color LEDs.
