Image provision device and image provision system

Abstract

An image provision device that provides an image exhibiting a distinctive feature of a locality to an address. On receipt from a mobile telephone ( 1 a ) of a position information mail ( 21 ) storing position information of the mobile telephone ( 1 a ), the image provision device transmits to the mobile telephone ( 1 a ) a reply mail ( 39 ) storing thumbnail images created based on the position information in the position information mail ( 21 ). Then, on receipt from the mobile telephone ( 1 a ) of an image select mail ( 22 ) storing a selection resulting from one thumbnail image from the thumbnail images being selected, the image provision device transmits to the address an image mail ( 40 ) storing an image based on the selection result in the image select mail ( 22 ).

         9 . A mobile terminal comprising:
 an image information acquiring unit that acquires one or more pieces of image information each corresponding to a candidate image, one of the candidate images to be provided to a destination .as an image relating to position information; and   a reception unit that receives a piece of image information selected by a user from among the one or more pieces of acquired image information, the selected piece of image   
       information corresponding to the image to be provided to the destination. 
     
     
         10 . The mobile terminal of  claim 9 , wherein the position information indicates a locality of the mobile terminal. 
     
     
         11 . The mobile terminal of  claim 9 , wherein
 each piece of image information corresponding to a candidate image is a thumbnail image of the candidate image,   
       the mobile terminal further comprises a display unit that displays the thumbnail images,
 the reception unit receives, as the selected piece of image information, a thumbnail image selected by the user from among the thumbnail images displayed by the display unit. 
 
     
     
         12 . The mobile terminal of  claim 9 , wherein
 each piece of image information corresponding to a candidate image is a title of the candidate image,   
       the mobile terminal further comprises a display unit that displays the titles, and
 the reception unit receives, as the selected piece of image information, a title selected by the user from among the titles displayed by the display unit. 
 
     
     
         13 . The mobile terminal of  claim 9 , further comprising:
 a transmitting unit that transmits the piece of image information received by the reception unit.   
     
     
         14 . The mobile terminal of  claim 13 , further comprising: a message creation unit that creates a message, wherein
 the transmitting unit transmits, to a source form which the one or more pieces of image information are acquired, a message to be incorporated into the image to be provided to the destination.   
     
     
         15 . The mobile terminal of  claim 9 , further comprising:
 an image receiving unit that receives an image relating to position information of another mobile terminal; and   
       a image display unit that displays the received image. 
     
     
         16 . The mobile terminal of  claim 15 , wherein 
       the image receiving unit receives the image into which a message is incorporated, and
 the image display unit displays the image together with the message incorporated into the message.
