Abstract

In a system for developing and deploying a voice application using Web-based data as source data over a communications network to one or more recipients, a method for organizing, editing, and prioritizing the Web-based data before dialog creation is provided. The method includes harvesting the Web-based data source in the form of its original structure; generating an object tree representing the logical structure and content type of the harvested, Web-based data source; manipulating the object tree generated to a desired hierarchal structure and content; creating a voice application template in VXML and populating the template with the manipulated object tree; and creating a voice application capable of accessing the Web-based data source according to the constraints of the template.
