Abstract
The wireless communication system of the present invention includes a base station ( 10 ) and a mobility management node ( 20 ). The base station ( 10 ) sends at least one information from among location information of the base station ( 10 ) and information about the size of a cell of the base station ( 10 ), to the mobility management node ( 20 ). The mobility management node ( 20 ) receives at least one information from among the location information of the base station ( 10 ) and the information about the size of the cell of the base station, from the base station ( 10 ).

said base station sends location information of said base station and information about the size of a cell of said base station, to said mobility management entity; and said mobility management entity receives said location information of said base station and said information about the size of the cell of said base station, from said base station.
2 . The wireless communication system according to claim 1 , wherein when said base station is added, said base station sends said location information of said base station and said information about the size of the cell of said base station, to said mobility management entity.

The wireless communication system according to claim 1 , wherein when a wireless communication apparatus attaches itself to said base station, said base station sends said location information of said base station and said information about the size of the cell of said base station, to said mobility management entity.

The wireless communication system according to claim 1 , wherein when a wireless communication apparatus registers its location in said base station, said base station sends said location information of said base station and said information about the size of the cell of said base station, to said mobility management entity.

The wireless communication system according to claim 2 , wherein when a range covered by the cell of said base station is changed, said base station sends said location information of said base station and said information about the size of the cell of said base station, to said mobility management entity.
6 . The wireless communication system according to claim 1 , wherein said base station measures a location of said base station, and said location information of said cell comprises information of the measured location.
7 . The wireless communication system according to claim 1 , wherein said information about the size of said cell comprises information about a diameter or radius of the cell.
8 . The wireless communication system according to claim 1 , wherein said information about the size of said cell comprises information about a type representative of the size of the cell.
9 . The wireless communication system according to claim 1 , wherein said mobility management entity creates a map representative of a layout of cells based on said location information of said base station and said information about the size of the cell of said base station.
10 . The wireless communication system according to claim 9 , wherein said mobility management entity deletes the cell of said base station whose connection link to said mobility management entity is cut off, from said map.
11 . The wireless communication system according to claim 9 , wherein said mobility management entity assigns a tracking area to a wireless communication apparatus which registers its location in said base station, based on a moving speed and a moving direction of said wireless communication apparatus and said map.
12 . A base station comprising a transmitter for sending location information of a base station and information about the size of a cell of said base station, to a mobility management entity.
13 . The base station according to claim 12 , wherein when said base station is added, said transmitter sends said location information of said base station and said information about the size of the cell of said base station, to said mobility management entity.

The base station according to claim 12 , wherein when a wireless communication apparatus attaches itself to said base station, said transmitter sends said location information of said base station and said information about the size of the cell of said base station, to said mobility management entity.

The base station according to claim 12 , wherein when a wireless communication apparatus registers its location in said base station, said transmitter sends said location information of said base station and said information about the size of the cell of said base station, to said mobility management entity.
16 . The base station according to claim 13 , wherein when a range covered by said cell is changed, said transmitter sends said location information of said base station and said information about the size of the cell of said base station, to said mobility management entity.
17 . A mobility management entity comprising a receiver for receiving location information of a base station and information about the size of a cell of said base station, from said base station.
18 . The mobility management entity, according to claim 17 , further comprising a controller for creating a map representative of a layout of cells based on said location information of said base station and said information about the size of the cell of said base station.
19 . The mobility management entity, according to claim 18 , wherein said controller deletes the cell of said base station whose connection link to said mobility management entity is cut off, from said map.
20 . The mobility management entity according to claim 18 , wherein said controller assigns a tracking area to a wireless communication apparatus which registers its location in said base station, based on a moving speed and a moving direction of said wireless communication apparatus and said map.
21 . A mobility management entity comprising:
a receiver for receiving, from a base station, information about movement of a wireless communication apparatus which registers its location in said base station; and a controller for assigning a tracking area based on information about a layout of said base station and said information about movement.
22 . A wireless communication method to be carried out by a base station, comprising:
the transmission step of sending location information of said base station and information about the size of a cell of said base station, to a mobility management entity.
23 . The wireless communication method according to claim 22 , wherein when said base station is added, said transmission step sends said location information of said base station and said information about the size of the cell of said base station is sent to said mobility management entity.

The wireless communication method according to claim 22 , wherein when a wireless communication apparatus attaches itself to said base station, said transmission step sends said location information of said base station and said information about the size of the cell of said base station, to said mobility management entity.

The wireless communication method according to claim 22 , wherein when a wireless communication apparatus registers its location in said base station, said transmission step sends said location information of said base station and said information about the size of the cell of said base station, to said mobility management entity.

The wireless communication method according to claim 23 , wherein when a range covered by the cell of said base station is changed, said transmission step sends said location information of said base station and said information about the size of the cell of said base station, to said mobility management entity.
27 . A wireless communication method to be carried out by a mobility management entity, comprising:
the reception step of receiving, from a base station, location information of said base station and information about the size of a cell of said base station.
28 . The wireless communication method according to claim 27 , further comprising:
the map creating step of creating a layout of cells based on said location information of said base station and said information about the size of the cell of said base station.
29 . The wireless communication method according to claim 28 , wherein said map creating step deletes the cell of said base station whose connection link to said mobility management entity is cut off, from said map.
30 . The wireless communication method according to claim 28 , further comprising:
the assigning step of a tracking area to a wireless communication apparatus which registers its location in said base station, based on a moving speed and a moving direction of said wireless communication apparatus and said map.
31 . A wireless communication system comprising a base station and a mobility management entity, wherein
said base station sends information about the size of a cell of said base station, to said mobility management entity; and said mobility management entity receives said information about the size of the cell of said base station, from said base station.
32 . The wireless communication system according to claim 31 , wherein said information about the size of the cell of said base station comprises information about a cell type representative of the size of the cell.
