Abstract
Pivoting clippers with a rotary actuator that is eccentrically attached to a cam and yoke assembly configured so that the rotary actuator moves the cam and yoke assembly which causes the clipper body to pivot from a home position to an operative clipping position.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A clipper, comprising:
a frame; a clipper body having an upper portion that is pivotably attached to the frame and a lower portion with gathering plates; and an actuator attached to the clipper body at a location between the upper and lower portions of the clipper body via an outwardly extending elongate arm, wherein, in operation, the actuator extends the outwardly extending arm causing the clipper body to eccentrically pivot from a home to an operative clipping position.
2 . The clipper of claim 1 , wherein the actuator is a rotary actuator that is attached to a rotating member at an off center location with the rotating member being attached to the arm that is attached to the clipper body.
3 . A clipper, comprising:
a frame; a clipper body having an upper portion that is pivotably attached to the frame; and a rotary actuator eccentrically attached to a cam and yoke assembly, wherein the cam and yoke assembly is attached to the clipper body at a location below the upper portion of the clipper body, and wherein, in operation, the rotatory actuator moves the cam and yoke assembly which causes the clipper body to reciprocally pivot between a home position and an operative clipping position.
4 . The clipper of claim 3 , further comprising first and second gathering plates mounted to a lower portion of the clipper body with a clip window being positioned between the first and second gathering plates.
5 . The clipper of claim 3 , wherein the rotary actuator is a 180 degree rotary actuator.
6 . The clipper of claim 3 , wherein the cam and yoke assembly comprises a cam with a circular body and a yoke that extends outwardly therefrom toward the clipper body, and wherein the rotary actuator is attached to the cam at a location that is substantially diametrically opposed to the outwardly extending yoke.
7 . The clipper of claim 3 , wherein the rotary actuator has an axially extending centerline and the cam and yoke assembly has a cam with a centerline that extends substantially parallel to the rotary actuator axially extending centerline, and wherein the cam and actuator centerlines are spaced apart a distance that is about half of a distance that the clipper body pivots between the home position and an operative clipping position.
8 . The clipper of claim 3 , wherein the rotary actuator extends horizontally and the cam and yoke assembly has a cam with a circular body with primary surfaces that extend vertically.
9 . A clipper, comprising:
a clipper body; and a rotary actuator attached to a cam and yoke assembly, wherein the cam and yoke assembly is attached to the clipper body at a location below an upper portion of the clipper body, and wherein, in operation, the rotary actuator moves the cam and yoke assembly which causes the clipper body to reciprocally pivot between home and clipping positions.
10 . The clipper of claim 9 , further comprising first and second gathering plates mounted to a lower portion of the clipper body with a clip window being positioned between the first and second gathering plates.
11 . The clipper of claim 9 , wherein the rotary actuator is a 180 degree rotary actuator.
12 . The clipper of claim 9 , wherein the cam and yoke assembly comprises a cam with a circular body and a yoke that extends outwardly therefrom toward the clipper body, and wherein the rotary actuator is eccentrically attached to the cam.
13 . The clipper of claim 9 , wherein the rotary actuator is attached to the cam at a location that is substantially diametrically opposed to the outwardly extending yoke.
14 . The clipper of claim 9 , wherein the rotary actuator has an axially extending centerline and the cam and yoke assembly has a cam with a centerline that extends substantially parallel to the rotary actuator axially extending centerline, and wherein the cam and actuator centerlines are spaced apart a distance that is about half of a distance that the clipper body pivots between the home and clipping positions.
15 . The clipper of claim 9 , wherein the rotary actuator extends horizontally and the cam has a circular body with primary surfaces that extend vertically.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
