The invention provides composition and methods for repairing a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament.

A scaffold for repair of a tissue defect in comprising a three-dimensional matrix adapted to facilitate cell in-growth, wherein said matrix is shaped for implantation into a patient at the site of the tissue defect, wherein said matrix comprises a natural matrix material wherein the natural matrix material is a collagen glycosaminoglycan copolymer comprised of collagen type I, and wherein said scaffold further comprises plasma.
