Abstract

A grinding composition for sharpening shredder blades of a shredder includes, based on total weight of the grinding composition, from 51 to 65 wt % of a grinding powder; from 5 to 35 wt % of a viscous grease agent; and from 3 to 30 wt % of at least one functional additive. A grinding sheet formed from the composition is used as a grinding product alone or in a bag. The composition is sealed in a bag and used as a grinding product. A process for manufacturing the latter grinding product employs an automatic form-fill-seal packaging machine. The shredder blades of a paper shredder are sharpened satisfactorily by the grinding composition as the grinding sheet or grinding product is shredded. The useful life of shredders is cost effectively extended while providing convenience in use that saves time and labor.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A grinding composition for sharpening shredder blades of a shredder, comprising, based on total weight of the grinding composition:
from 51 to 65 wt % of a grinding powder; from 5 to 35 wt % of a viscous grease agent; and from 3 to 30 wt % of at least one functional additive.

2 . The grinding composition according to claim 1 , wherein the viscous grease agent includes at least one of white oil, animal oil, vegetable oil and stearin candle, and wherein the functional additive includes at least one of an anti-rust powder, an anti-wear powder, an anti-static powder and an anti-oxidation powder.

3 . The grinding composition according to claim 2 , wherein the grinding composition comprises one of:
 (a) 55 wt % of the grinding powder, 5 wt % of the anti-rust powder, 2 wt % of the anti-wear powder, 35 wt % of the white oil and the vegetable oil combined, 2 wt % of the anti-static powder, and 1 wt % of the anti-oxidation powder; or (b) 57 wt % of the grinding powder, 5 wt % of the anti-rust powder, 35 wt % of the stearin candle, 2 wt % of the anti-static powder, and 1 wt % of the anti-oxidation powder.

4 . The grinding composition according to claim 2 , wherein the stearin candle is a combination of stearic acid that is made from animal or plant fats with white wax, microcrystalline wax and polyethylene wax, wherein the grinding powder is a natural mineral grinding powder, wherein the anti-rust powder is aluminum distearate, wherein the anti-wear powder is microcrystalline wax or complex sodium-calcium soap grease, wherein the anti-static powder is glycerol monostearate, and wherein the anti-oxidation powder is butylated hydroxytoluene.

5 . The grinding composition according to claim 4 , wherein the natural mineral grinding powder is a natural diamond grinding powder or a natural micron quartz grinding powder.

6 . A grinding sheet for sharpening shredder blades, comprising:
a sheet made of the grinding composition according to claim 1 , which has been stirred, melted and mixed, and cooled and pressed into sheet form, wherein the viscous grease agent includes stearin candle so that the sheet is a solid wax sheet.

7 . A grinding product for sharpening shredder blades, comprising the grinding sheet according to claim 6 .

8 . A method of sharpening blades of a paper shredder including shredder blades, comprising:
providing the grinding product according to claim 7 ; and shredding the grinding product in the paper shredder so that the shredder blades are sharpened by the grinding composition as the grinding product is shredded.

9 . A grinding product for sharpening shredder blades, comprising:
a bag that may be unsealed or sealed; and the grinding sheet according to claim 6 positioned inside the bag.

10 . The grinding product according to claim 9 , wherein the bag is made of plastic and is a plastic bag.

11 . The grinding product according to claim 10 , wherein the plastic is polypropylene.

12 . A method of sharpening blades of a paper shredder including shredder blades, comprising:
providing a grinding product according to claim 9 ; and shredding the grinding product in the paper shredder so that the shredder blades are sharpened by the grinding composition as the grinding product is shredded.

13 . A grinding product for sharpening shredder blades, comprising:
a sealed bag; and the grinding composition according to claim 1 positioned inside the sealed bag.

14 . The grinding product according to claim 13 , wherein the sealed bag is made of plastic and the sealed bag is a sealed plastic bag.

15 . The grinding product according to claim 14 , wherein the plastic is polypropylene.

16 . A process for manufacturing the grinding product according to claim 13 , comprising the steps of:
moving and placing a roll of laminated plastic film on an automatic form-fill-seal packaging machine; sending a measured amount of the grinding composition into a feed chute of the automatic form-fill-seal packaging machine, the measured amount of the grinding composition being determined by a fill amount of the grinding composition needed in view of dimensions of the plastic sealed bag including length and width thereof; filling the measured amount of the grinding composition through the automatic form-fill-seal packaging machine to provide a filled plastic bag; and sealing the filled plastic bag to provide the grinding product.
