Abstract

The present invention is a pre-construction sample that is made of a flexible material and has a product image corresponding to an actual construction product. The pre-construction sample is preferably at least 18 inches in one dimension. The pre-construction sample is preferably produced by a printing process having at least 200 dpi, and more preferably 300 dpi. Kits of pre-construction samples are provided to assist the consumer choosing from among various construction products, such as flooring, decking, countertops, cabinets, windows, shingles, among others.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A kit of pre-construction window samples, comprising:
a plurality of pre-construction window samples, each of the pre-construction window samples being made of a flexible material and having a window image replicating a window, the kit including pre-construction window samples that have different characteristics, the different characteristics at least including different frames, wherein each of the pre-construction window samples has a width and a length dimension of at least 18 inches.

2 . The kit of pre-construction window samples of claim 1 , wherein the different frames relate to the color of the wood or the type of wood used on the replicated window.

3 . The kit of pre-construction window samples of claim 1 , wherein each of the window images on the flexible materials are produced by a printing process having at least 200 dpi.

4 . The kit of pre-construction window samples of claim 1 , wherein the replicated window is a known commercial window product and the dimensions of the frames of the window images are substantially on a 1:1 scale with the dimensions of frames in the known commercial window product.

5 . The kit of pre-construction window samples of claim 1 , wherein each of the window samples is rectangular with length and width dimensions of at least 24 inches.

6 . The kit of pre-construction window samples of claim 5 , each of the window images on the flexible materials are produced by a printing process having at least 300 dpi.

7 . The kit of pre-construction window samples of claim 1 , wherein the kit is a custom kit produced through a consumer's selection of pre-construction samples via interaction on a website.

8 . The kit of pre-construction window samples of claim 1 , wherein the different characteristics include different styles or materials of muntins in the replicated windows.

9 . The kit of pre-construction window samples of claim 1 , wherein each of the pre-construction window samples includes an image of an outside setting for replicating a view through the replicated window.

         10 . A kit of pre-construction countertop samples, comprising:
a plurality of pre-construction countertop samples, each of the pre-construction countertop samples being made of a flexible material and having a countertop image replicating a countertop, the kit including pre-construction countertop samples having different characteristics, the different characteristics at least including different colors of a countertop material.

11 . The kit of pre-construction countertop samples of claim 10 , wherein the countertop material of the replicated countertop is natural stone or granite.

12 . The kit of pre-construction countertop samples of claim 10 , wherein the countertop material of the replicated countertop is a man-made stone.

13 . The kit of pre-construction countertop samples of claim 12 , wherein the man-made stone countertop includes quartz pieces.

14 . The kit of pre-construction countertop samples of claim 13 , wherein the replicated countertop is a known commercial countertop product having patterns related to quartz, the patterns having dimensions, the countertop images include patterns that are substantially on a 1:1 scale with the quartz patterns of the known commercial countertop product.

15 . The kit of pre-construction countertop samples of claim 10 , wherein each of the countertop images on the flexible materials are produced by a printing process having at least 300 dpi.

16 . The kit of pre-construction countertop samples of claim 10 , wherein at least one of the countertop images includes a coating to alter the reflectivity of light.

         17 . A kit of pre-construction cabinet samples, comprising:
a plurality of pre-construction cabinet samples, each of the pre-construction cabinet samples being made of a flexible material and having a cabinet image replicating a cabinet, the kit including pre-construction cabinet samples that have different characteristics, the different characteristics at least including different types of wood colors, each of the pre-construction cabinet samples having a width or length dimension of at least 18 inches.
