Abstract

An exercise device having many advantageous features is described, including the ability to provide a combination of grips to the user, and the ability to easily mount the device to a wall. One exercise device described is an inelastic resistance device having a combination grip that includes hand grips and a loop. The hand grip and loop may be used as a foot grip, or alternatively, just the hand grip can be used by the hand. The selection of a specific accessory grip allows the user to exercise by specific body parts and provides for a greater number of possible exercises.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An exercise apparatus comprising:
an inelastic portion having at least one end including a hand grip; and a loop attached to said hand grip, where said loop is a continuous loop which passes through said hand grip, and where said exercise apparatus is adapted to support the weight of a user of the exercise apparatus by said hand grip, said loop, or some combination thereof.

2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , where said hand grip includes a rigid portion.

3 . The apparatus of claim 2 , where said rigid portion has a length that is at least as long as a fist.

4 . The apparatus of claim 3 , where said rigid portion and said loop are sized to restrain a foot.

5 . The apparatus of claim 1 , where said loop is separate from said inelastic portion.

6 . The apparatus of claim 1 , where said loop is replaceably attachable to said hand grip.

7 . The apparatus of claim 1 , where said loop is not replaceably attachable to said hand grip.

8 . The apparatus of claim 1 , where said loop is has a fixed length.

9 . The apparatus of claim 1 , where said loop has an adjustable length.

10 . The apparatus of claim 1 , where said loop is a first loop, where said at least end includes a second loop, and where said second loop passes through said hand grip.

11 . The apparatus of claim 1 , where said at least one end includes a first end and a second end, where said hand grip is a first hand grip and where said second end includes a second hand grip.
