Abstract
Methods and kits for preventing or reducing the likelihood of implantation failure and pregnancy-related disorders in a recipient of artificial insemination are provided. The methods include administering into a recipient of artificial insemination in need of such treatment an effective amount of granulocyte colony stimulating factor (G-CSF).

A kit for reducing the likelihood of implantation failure and pregnancy-related disorders in a recipient of artificial insemination, comprising multiple doses of granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) in unit dosage forms; and a label with instructions for using the G-CSF to reduce the likelihood of implantation failure and pregnancy-related disorders.
40 . The kit of claim 39 , wherein said pregnancy-related disorders include miscarriage, spontaneous abortion, preterm labor and preeclampsia.
41 . The kit of claim 39 , wherein said G-CSF is formulated for subcutaneous administration.
42 . The kit of claim 39 , wherein said G-CSF is formulated for intramuscular administration.
43 . The kit of claim 39 , wherein said G-CSF is formulated for intravascular administration.
44 . The kit of claim 39 , wherein each unit dosage of G-CSF further comprises at least one other active compound.
45 . The kit of claim 44 , wherein said other active compound is another colony-stimulating factor (CSF), erythropoietin or stem cell factor.
46 . The kit of claim 45 , wherein said CSF is granulocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor (GM-CSF) or macrophage colony stimulating factor (M-CSF).
47 . The kit of claim 44 , wherein said at least one other active compound comprises an anti-inflammatory agent.
48 . The kit of claim 44 , wherein said at least one other active compound comprises an interleukin.
49 . The kit of claim 39 , wherein said G-CSF is contained in an implantable device for slow release after implantation of the device.
50 . The kit of claim 39 , wherein said G-CSF is contained in a transdermal patch for slow release after application of the transdermal device.
51 . The kit of claim 39 , wherein said G-CSF is contained in a vaginal ring.
52 . The kit of claim 39 , wherein said G-CSF is embedded in an inert matrix.
53 . The kit of claim 39 , wherein said G-CSF is in lyophilized form.
54 . The kit of claim 39 , wherein the granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) is formulated in unit dosage form for implantation failure; and wherein the label contains instructions for using the G-CSF to reduce the likelihood of implantation failure.
55 . The kit of claim 39 , wherein the granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) is formulated in unit dosage form for spontaneous abortion; and wherein the label contains instructions for using the G-CSF to reduce the likelihood of spontaneous abortion.
56 . The kit of claim 39 , wherein the granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-GSF) is formulated in unit dosage form for preterm labor; and wherein the label contains instructions for using the G-CSF to reduce the likelihood of preterm labor.
