Abstract
A map user interface is described, including a first view transmitted from a server computer system to the client computer system, the first view including a map, and a location marker placed at the selected location on the map upon receiving a placement request indicating selection of a selected location for placement of a location marker.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A user interface displayed to a user via a client computer, the user interface comprising:
a first view transmitted from a server computer system to the client computer system, the first view including a map; and a location marker placed at a selected location on the map upon receiving a placement request indicating selection of the selected location for placement of the location marker.
2 . The user interface of claim 1 , wherein the placement request is received at the server computer system and the location marker is transmitted from the server computer system to the client computer system.
3 . The user interface of claim 1 , wherein the placement request is received at the server computer system, the user interface further comprising:
an address that appears in the first view after transmission of the placement request to the server, the address being at or near the select location.
4 . The user interface of claim 3 , wherein the address is displayed on the map.
5 . The user interface of claim 1 , wherein the selected location is an initial location of the location marker on the map, the location marker being movable from the initial location to a target location on the map.
6 . The user interface of claim 1 , further comprising:
a path from a starting location to an ending location on the map.
7 . The user interface of claim 6 , wherein the path is adjustable by moving the location marker.
8 . The user interface of claim 7 , wherein the path is adjustable by moving the starting location by moving the location marker on the map.
9 . The user interface of claim 7 , wherein the path is adjustable by moving the ending location by moving the location marker on the map.
10 . The user interface of claim 7 , wherein the path is adjustable by moving the location marker and thereby moving an intermediate location between the starting location and the ending location on the path relatively on the map.
11 . The user interface of claim 6 , wherein the path displayed on the map, the path being from the starting location via at least one intermediate location to the ending location, the user interface comprising:
a deletion selector, wherein selection of the deletion selector causes transmission of a deletion command being indicative of removal of at least one of the selected location, the starting location, the intermediate location, and the ending location and a second view generated in response to the transmission of the deletion command, the second view including a modified map and a modified path displayed on the modified map, wherein the modified path does not include the at least one of the selected location, the starting location, the intermediate location, and the ending location.
12 . (canceled)
13 . (canceled)
14 . The user interface of claim 1 , further comprising:
an aerial selector, selection of the aerial selector adding an aerial photograph with the map over the aerial photograph.
15 . The user interface of claim 1 , wherein the map is a street map.
16 - 45 . (canceled)
46 . The user interface of claim 6 , further comprising:
a second path representing a route from the starting location to the ending location indicative of a mode of transportation used to travel along the second path.
47 . The user interface of claim 1 , wherein the map allows a user to locate a cursor at the selected location on the map and to select the selected location via the cursor.
48 . A user interface displayed to a user via a interactive video display, the user interface comprising:
a first view transmitted from a server computer system to the client computer system, the first view including a first map displayed to a user via the interactive video display such that execution of an action, by the user, with the interactive video display allows a user to select a location on the first map for placement of a location marker; and a location marker placed at the selected location on the map upon receiving a placement request indicating selection of the selected location for placement of the location marker.
49 . The user interface of claim 48 , wherein the placement request is received at the server computer system, the user interface further comprising:
an address that appears in the first view after transmission of the placement request to the server, the address being at or near the selected location.
50 . The user interface of claim 48 , wherein the selected location is an initial location of the location marker on the map, the location marker being movable from the initial location to a target location on the map.
51 . The user interface of claim 48 , further comprising:
a path from a starting location to an ending location on the map.
52 . The user interface of claim 51 , wherein the path is adjustable by moving the location marker.
53 . The user interface of claim 48 , further comprising:
an aerial selector, wherein selection of the aerial selector adds an aerial photograph to the first view.Cited by (0)
