Abstract
The forward leaning suspension boot/binding is an extreme idea aimed directly at the alpine ski market, where current ski boot technology only provides equipment for alpine skiers. The forward leaning suspension technology allows a suspended amount of forward lean for skiers seeking a more aggressive stance for skiing. The suspension is derived by a spring-hinged reverse cantilevered upper boot/binding to the lower portion of the boot/binding.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A ski binding, comprised of a two piece snowboard binding, with modifications.
2 . A ski binding, that utilizes a Forward Leaning Suspension Mechanism. The kingpin is a suspension mechanism that uses a reverse cantilever method of hinging the top and bottom portions of the said bindings.
3 . A ski binding , comprising of an extended or raised back plate, and three straps that will harness a snowboard boot, with enough support to allow alpine skiing.
4 . A ski binding, comprising of a narrowed design with tapered riser plates to fit skis.
5 . A suspension mechanism, comprised of a reverse cantilevered design, utilizing a heavy duty spring, that can be used on any boot/binding that anatomically correct movement would be beneficial.
6 . A ski binding, comprising of a suspension mechanism that attaches to the top binding at pivot able points.
7 . A ski binding, comprised of a suspension mechanism allowing forward lean may only be mounted to specifically designed twin tip skis (as this could be dangerous if mounted to the wrong type of ski).
8 . A ski binding, comprising of said suspension mechanism, should not be exclusive to alpine skiing as it could crossover to other sports, such as rollerblading or snowboarding.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
