Abstract

A structural wall has a self-supporting wall externally being provided with laths for attachment of a base plate for an outer plaster layer. The base plate consists of a wood composite material comprising polyurethane mixed with wood wool and is having good insulating ability. To utilize the insulating properties of the base plate and provide for a better fire rated wall, the spacing between the laths, originally being a air-gap, is filed with a rock wool mat having drainage facility for moisture at the side facing the base plate.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A structural wall comprising a self-supporting wall externally provided with fastening devices and fixed thereto a base plate of wood composite material having good thermal insulating ability, the base plate being prepared with an external weather resisting surface treatment, wherein a fire retardant insulating material is arranged between the fastening devices and is having drainage facilities for moisture at the surface facing the base plate.

2 . A structural wall according to claim 1 , wherein the wood composite material primarily comprises polyurethane mixed with wood wool.

3 . A structural wall according to claim 1 , characterized in that wherein the insulating material is a rock wool mat.

4 . A structural wall according to claim 3 , wherein the rock wool mat is having mainly vertical drainage slits ( 9 ) at the surface facing the base plate.

5 . A structural wall according to claim 1 , wherein said surface treatment comprises a cement modified polymer plaster, preferably having a thickness of approximately 10 mm.

6 . A structural wall according to claim 1 , wherein the fastening devices are laths and is having similar to the insulating material preferably a thickness of approximately 50 mm.

7 . A structural wall according to claim 1 , wherein the base plate is having a thickness of approximately 15 mm.

8 . A structural wall according to claim 1 , characterized in that wherein the outer surface of the base plate is prepared with a primer providing for good fixation of the plaster.
