Front portion structure of saddle-ride type vehicle

Abstract

A front portion structure of a saddle-ride type vehicle capable of avoiding restrictions of a headlight and performing a sufficient air guide. A lens of the headlight is provided with lens-side recess portions recessed toward the rear of the vehicle. The recess portions are provided so as to continue to lower open ends of a gap between the front cowl and a windscreen.

1 . A front portion structure of a vehicle, comprising:
 a front cowl covering a front portion of a vehicle body;   a windscreen installed at an upper portion of the front cowl and extending rearwardly and upwardly; and   a headlight including a lens, lighting bodies, and a housing and disposed below the windscreen wherein a gap guiding the flow of air is formed between the front cowl and the windscreen;   wherein the lens of the headlight includes recess portions recessed towards a rear of the vehicle, said recess portions being provided so as to continue to lower open ends of the gap between the front cowl and the windscreen.   
     
     
         2 . The front portion structure of a vehicle according to  claim 1 , wherein the recess portions are provided on left and right sides of the lens. 
     
     
         3 . The front portion structure of vehicle according to  claim 2 , wherein:
 the headlight is a combination lamp having a headlamp illuminating a front and left and right blinker lamps; and   a headlamp chamber in which the headlamp is positioned and blinker chambers in which the left and right blinker lamps are positioned are partitioned by partition walls integrally formed with the housing respectively with left and right recess portions being provided so as to follow the partition walls.

The front portion structure of a vehicle according to  claim 1 , wherein the front cowl includes cowl-side recess portions that are recessed so as to continue to the recess portions of the headlight, form the gap between the front cowl and the windscreen, and extend rearwardly and upwardly.

The front portion structure of a vehicle according to  claim 2 , wherein the front cowl includes cowl-side recess portions that are recessed so as to continue to the recess portions of the headlight, form the gap between the front cowl and the windscreen, and extend rearwardly and upwardly.

         11 . A front portion structure of a vehicle, comprising:
 a combination lamp disposed at a front portion of the vehicle, said combination lamp including a headlamp, blinker lamps, and a lens continuing in front of the headlamp and the blinker lamps,   wherein the lens includes concavities, which are recessed to a rear of the vehicle and extend in a vertical direction, in front of the blinker lamps as well as on an inner side of a vehicle width direction.   
     
     
         12 . The front portion structure of a vehicle according to  claim 11 , wherein the concavities are each formed throughout a vertical width of each of blinker chambers in which the blinker lamps are held.

The front portion structure of a vehicle according to  claim 11 , wherein the concavities are formed with a width that decreases as the concavities extend towards the rear of the vehicle, and innermost portions located on a rearmost side of the vehicle body are each offset towards an outside of the vehicle width direction.

The front portion structure of a vehicle according to  claim 12 , wherein the concavities are formed with a width that decreases as the concavities extend towards the rear of the vehicle, and innermost portions located on a rearmost side of the vehicle body are each offset towards an outside of the vehicle width direction. 
     
     
         15 . The front portion structure of a vehicle according to  claim 11 , wherein position lamps are provided in the rear of the concavities. 
     
     
         16 . The front portion structure of a vehicle according to  claim 12 , wherein position lamps are provided in the rear of the concavities. 
     
     
         17 . The front portion structure of a vehicle according to  claim 13 , wherein position lamps are provided in the rear of the concavities. 
     
     
         18 . A front portion structure of a vehicle, comprising:
 a front cowl covering a front portion of a vehicle body; and   a combination lamp disposed at the front cowl and including a headlamp, blinker lamps, and a lens exposing the front cowl between the headlamp and the blinker lamps to cover each lamp,   wherein the front cowl exposed between the headlamp and the blinker lamps and the lens covering the blinker lamps define concavities, which are recessed to a rear of the vehicle and extend in a vertical direction, in front of the blinker lamps as well as on an inner side of a vehicle width direction.
