Abstract

An image sensor with a light reader circuit coupled to a pixel array. The light reader circuit retrieves a first image and a second image generated by the pixel array. The image sensor may also include a memory controller and/or data interface that transfers the first and second images to an external device in an interleaving manner.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A method for generating and transferring image data, comprising:
outputting a first image through a plurality of output transistors of a pixel array of an image sensor; sampling the first image; outputting a second image through the plurality of output transistors; sampling the second image; and, transferring the first and second images from the image sensor to an external device in a time overlapping manner, wherein the first and second images are transferred to the external device except during said sampling of the first image and said sampling of the second image.
