Abstract
There are provided methods of inhibiting growth and metastasis of melanoma, methods of sensitizing melanoma cells to apoptosis, and methods of treating a subject having melanoma using acetyl isogambogic acid, celastrol, or a derivative thereof. There are further provided derivatives of celastrol and compositions comprising acetyl isogambogic acid, celastrol, or a derivative thereof.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for inhibiting melanoma growth comprising contacting the melanoma with an effective amount of acetyl isogambogic acid.
2 . A method of sensitizing melanoma cells to apoptosis comprising contacting the cells with an effective amount of acetyl isogambogic acid.
3 . A method of treating melanoma in a subject in need thereof comprising administering an effective amount of acetyl isogambogic acid.
4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the administering is via topical administration or subcutaneous administration.
5 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the acetyl isogambogic acid is formulated in a pharmaceutical composition.Cited by (0)
