Abstract

Mobile bagging machine systems and methods may relate to a mobile bagging machine that includes a variable-width tunnel, a variable-speed rotor, a relatively narrow rotor of large diameter and increased effective surface area, at least one material reservoir, a material conveyor system capable of continuous material processing during exchange of unloading vehicles, and/or an overall width less than approximately three meters.

1 . A mobile bagging machine, the bagging machine comprising:
 a vehicle having a mobile frame;   a conveyor in communication with the mobile frame; and   an operator cab in communication with the mobile frame;   wherein the vehicle is self-propelled;   wherein the conveyor is adapted to convey organic material;   wherein the operator cab operates the mobile bagging machine; and   wherein the operator cab resides, at least temporarily, beneath the conveyor.   
     
     
         2 . The mobile bagging machine of  claim 1 , wherein the conveyor is adapted to convey organic material in that the conveyor comprises:
 two side panels; and   a front portion defining a widened distance between the two side panels;   wherein the widened distance is adapted to receive substantially all of the organic material.   
     
     
         3 . The mobile bagging machine of  claim 2 , at least one of the two side panels further comprising at least one funneling slide wherein the at least one funneling slide is angled to direct material toward the center of the conveyor. 
     
     
         4 . The mobile bagging machine of  claim 3 , the conveyor comprising:
 a rear portion;   wherein the conveyor forms an inclined slope from the front portion toward the rear portion at an angle of greater than thirty degrees; and   wherein the organic material tumbles toward the front portion of the conveyor as the organic material moves up the inclined slope toward the rear portion of the conveyor.   
     
     
         5 . The mobile bagging machine of  claim 4 , further comprising:
 a reservoir,   wherein the two side panels and widened distance of the front portion form at least a portion of the reservoir, and   wherein the reservoir processes the organic material that is tumbled within the reservoir.   
     
     
         6 . The mobile bagging machine of  claim 5 , wherein the conveyor continuously conveys the organic material from the reservoir without interruption between an exchange of two unloading vehicles. 
     
     
         7 . The mobile bagging machine of  claim 1 , wherein the organic material is at least one of silage, grain, sawdust, or compost, and wherein the organic material contains debris including at least one of dry particulants, chaff, or wind-blow materials. 
     
     
         8 . The mobile bagging machine of  claim 1 , further comprising a material packing assembly, wherein the material packing assembly comprises a rotor, a screw conveyor, a plunger, or packing fingers. 
     
     
         9 . The mobile bagging machine of  claim 5 , wherein the operator cab includes a rotor operation control, a first conveyor operation control, a second conveyor operation control, and a transmission control. 
     
     
         10 . A system, comprising:
 a vehicle for receiving, processing, and packing a feed material, the feed material containing debris, and the vehicle including a front portion and a rear portion;   a cab mounted at the front portion of the vehicle; and   a first conveyor above the top of the cab;   wherein the first conveyor is adapted to receive the feed material at the front portion of the vehicle, tumble the feed material, and transport the feed material toward the rear portion of the vehicle.   
     
     
         11 . The system of  claim 10 , wherein the first conveyor is adapted to move from a first position to a second position, wherein the first position is substantially above and behind the cab, and wherein the second position substantially slopes from the above the cab toward the ground in front of the cab. 
     
     
         12 . The system of  claim 11  further comprising a packing assembly, wherein the packing assembly includes a rotor, wherein the rotor includes a cavity, and wherein at least two planetary gear boxes reside within the cavity. 
     
     
         13 . The system of  claim 10  further comprising a packing assembly, wherein the system is adapted to receive the feed material from at least two unloading vehicles, and wherein the system is adapted to continuously convey the feed material to the packing assembly without interruption between an exchange of the unloading vehicles. 
     
     
         14 . The system of  claim 13 , wherein the vehicle is adapted to move in a forward direction with the first conveyor in the second position. 
     
     
         15 . The system of  claim 14 , wherein the first conveyor includes a wheel, and wherein the wheel is adapted to roll upon the ground in front of the cab when the vehicle moves in the forward direction. 
     
     
         16 . A method for processing a material through a bagging machine, comprising:
 moving a first conveyor from a first position behind a cab to a second position in front of and above a cab; and   conveying organic feed material along the length of and parallel to a chassis from the first conveyor to a second conveyor while the first conveyor is in the second position.   
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 16 , further comprising operating the first conveyor, the second conveyor, a rotor, and a transmission from the cab. 
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 16 , further comprising tumbling the organic feed material along a length of the first conveyor and staging the organic feed material within a reservoir of the first conveyor. 
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 18 , wherein the organic feed material is at least one of silage, grain, sawdust, or compost, and wherein the organic material contains debris including at least one of dry particulants, chaff, or wind-blow materials. 
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 19 , further comprising isolating one or more radiators from the debris, wherein the debris is near the front of the cab.
