Unaffiliated web domain hosting service purchase prediction

Abstract

Based on usage patterns of a multiplicity of clients who have purchased web domain offerings, providing a grid representing each item purchased and not purchased by each client, using predictive analytics to determine the probability that each client will purchase each offering, and identifying a subset of offerings that represent favorable probabilities of purchase for a given client.

1 . A method of web domain offerings selection, comprising:
 configuring a matrix of web domain offerings and clients who have purchased at least one of the web domain offerings;   populating the matrix with web domain offering-purchase information for the clients;   processing the matrix with a random forest algorithm to produce a probability of purchase for each entry in the matrix; and   identifying entries in the matrix that represent favorable probabilities of a client purchasing a web domain offering.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the web domain offerings represent website hosting services. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the web domain offerings represent packages of website hosting services. 
     
     
         4 . A method of targeting offers to clients, comprising:
 taking web domain offering purchase information for a plurality of clients;   taking web domain offering information for a plurality of web domain offerings;   determining with a server a probability that at least a subset of the plurality of clients will purchase at least a subset of the plurality of web domain offerings; and   identifying with a server a subset of the plurality of web domain offerings that represent favorable probabilities of web domain offering purchase for a client.   
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 4 , wherein determining a probability includes applying a random forest algorithm to the web domain offering purchase information and the web domain offering information. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 4 , further including determining information for web domain offerings not purchased by the plurality of clients. 
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 4 , wherein the plurality of web domain offerings include web site hosting services. 
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 4 , further including determining which of the plurality of web domain offerings have not been purchased by each of the plurality of clients.
