Abstract
Passive immunotherapy methods for treating a patient having atherosclerosis.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 57 . (canceled)
. A method of therapeutically treating atherosclerosis in a patient comprising administering an effective dosage of an antibody or a fragment thereof, which antibody or fragment thereof specifically binds to an amyloid protein, to thereby treat atherosclerosis in the patient.
. The method of claim 58 wherein the patient demonstrates elevated levels of ApoE.
. The method of claim 58 wherein the antibody or fragment thereof specifically binds to an aggregated form of ApoA.
. The method of claim 58 wherein the antibody or fragment thereof specifically binds to both aggregated and dissociated forms of ApoA.
. The method of claim 58 wherein the antibody or fragment thereof is human, chimeric or humanized antibody.
. The method of claim 63 , wherein the isotype of the antibody is human IgG1.
. The method of claim 58 wherein the antibody or fragment thereof is administered in multiple dosages.
. The method of claim 58 wherein the antibody or fragment thereof is administered as a sustained release composition.
. A method of reducing risk or delaying onset of atherosclerosis in a patient comprising administering an effective dosage of an antibody or a fragment thereof, which antibody or fragment thereof specifically binds to an amyloid protein, to thereby effect prophylaxis of the atherosclerosis.
. The method of claim 66 wherein the patient demonstrates elevated levels of ApoE.
. The method of claim 66 wherein the antibody or fragment thereof specifically binds to an aggregated form of ApoA.
. The method of claim 66 wherein the antibody or fragment thereof specifically binds to both aggregated and dissociated forms of ApoA.
. The method of claim 66 wherein the antibody or fragment thereof is human, chimeric or humanized antibody.
. The method of claim 70 , wherein the isotype of the antibody is human IgG1.
. The method of claim 66 wherein the antibody or fragment thereof is administered in multiple dosages.
. The method of claim 66 wherein the antibody or fragment thereof is administered as a sustained release composition.Cited by (0)
