Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A method for producing 4-(indol-3-ylmethyl)-4-hydroxy-2-oxoglutaric acid comprising
contacting indole-3-pyruvate with a polypeptide chosen from 4-hydroxy-4-methyl-2-oxoglutarate aldolase and 4-hydroxy-2-oxoglutarate aldolase under conditions in which 4-(indol-3-ylmethyl)-4-hydroxy-2-oxoglutaric acid is produced.
