Method for a lottery game

Abstract

A method for conducting a game of chance according to the present disclosure includes allowing players to register for the game of chance online and then identifying in an initial drawing one or more winning sets of winning player information. Afterwards, the initial winning players are brought to a common location and a second drawing among the winning players is conducted and broadcast to the public. The final winning player from the second drawing is then awarded a monetary prize and presented with an option of an additional monetary prize or an additional non-monetary prize. Alternatively, and/or in addition to registering online, players may purchase tickets for the game of chance, the tickets including game play information.

1 . A method for playing a game of chance, comprising the steps of:
 (a) establishing participants in the game of change by at least one of
 (i) allowing players to register online to obtain membership information for a lottery membership group, and 
 (ii) making tickets available to players, each ticket including game play information, wherein ticket data and game play information data are maintained in a lottery system database; 
   (b) identifying in an initial drawing at least one of
 (i) one or more initial winning members from membership information of the lottery membership group, and 
 (ii) one or more initial winning tickets containing initial game play information; 
   (c) publicizing at least one of
 (i) the initial winning member information, the initial winning member information defining a group of initial set of winning members, and 
 (ii) the initial winning game play information, the initial winning game play information defining a group of initial set of winning ticket holders; 
   (d) performing an additional drawing if the initial set of winning members and/or the initial set of winning ticket holders does not equal a desired amount, including at least one of
 (i) identifying additional winning members from the membership information, and 
 (ii) drawing additional winning game play information; 
   (e) providing a monetary prize to an initial group of winners including at least one of an initial winning member and an initial winning player associated with the winning game play information;   (f) generating an audio/visual broadcast of a second drawing for the initial group of winnings to establish a final winner;   (g) offering the final winner a choice between an additional monetary prize and an opportunity to audition for a recording contract; and   (h) generating an audio/visual broadcast of step (g).   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , further including the step (i) of generating an audio/visual broadcast of the final winner auditioning for a record contract. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising the step of (i) broadcasting the audition for the recording contract when the final winner chooses the opportunity of auditioning for the record contract. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 1  wherein the players pay a fee to register online for membership into a lottery membership group. 
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 1  wherein the winning member information comprises a unique data set assigned to each member upon registration. 
     
     
         6 . A method for playing a game of chance, comprising the steps of:
 (a) allowing players to register via electronic communication for membership into a lottery membership group;   (b) identifying in an initial drawing initial winning member information from a list of member information associated with members of the lottery membership group;   (c) publicizing the winning member information;   (d) drawing additional winning member information if the initial set of winning member information produces less than a desired number of winning members, and   (e) providing a monetary prize to the initial winning members;   (f) generating an audio/visual broadcast of a second drawing for the initial winning members;   (g) offering a winner of the second drawing a choice between an additional monetary prize and an opportunity to audition for a recording contract; and   (h) generating an audio/visual broadcast of step (g).   
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 6 , further including the step (i) of generating an audio/visual broadcast of the winner of the second drawing auditioning for a record contract. 
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 6 , further comprising the step of (i) broadcasting the audition for the recording contract when the winner of the second drawing chooses the opportunity of auditioning for a record contract. 
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 6  wherein the players pay a fee to register online for membership into a lottery membership group. 
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 6  wherein the initial winning member information comprises a unique data set assigned to each member upon registration.
