Abstract

Described herein are novel polynucleotides associated with prostate and lung cancer. The polynucleotides are miRNAs and miRNA precursors. Related methods and compositions that can be used for diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of those medical conditions are disclosed. Also described herein are methods that can be used to identify modulators of prostate and lung cancer.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 .- 17 . (canceled)

18 . An isolated nucleic acid of 18-200 nucleotides in length comprising a sequence selected from the group consisting of:
 (a) SEQ ID NO: 550; (b) a DNA encoding the nucleic acid of (a), wherein the DNA is identical in length to (a); (c) a sequence at least 80% identical to (a) or (b); and (d) the complement of (a), (b) or (c), wherein the complement is identical in length to the nucleic acid of (a), (b), or (c).

19 . An isolated nucleic acid of 18-100 nucleotides in length comprising a sequence selected from the group consisting of:
 (a) SEQ ID NO: 8087 or a fragment thereof wherein the fragment is 18-22 nucleotides in length; (b) a DNA encoding the nucleic acid of (a), wherein the DNA is identical in length to (a); (c) a sequence at least 80% identical to (a) or (b); and (d) the complement of (a), (b) or (c), wherein the complement is identical in length to the nucleic acid of (a), (b), or (c).

20 . A vector comprising a heterologous sequence, wherein the heterologous sequence consists of the sequence of the nucleic acid of claim 18 .

21 . A vector comprising a heterologous sequence, wherein the heterologous sequence consists of the sequence of the nucleic acid of claim 19 .

22 . A probe comprising a heterologous sequence, wherein the heterologous sequence consists of the sequence of the nucleic acid of claim 18 .

23 . A probe comprising a heterologous sequence, wherein the heterologous sequence consists of the sequence of the nucleic acid of claim 19 .
