Abstract
The present invention, the objects of which are to find out a gene encoding a protein having functions equivalent to those of G-protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) and the protein, and to provide a method for identifying a compound that regulates functions and/or expression of the protein, and to provide a useful mean for preventing and/or treating diseases related to the gene and the protein, provides a DNA comprising base sequence described in SEQ ID NO: 1 or complementary strand thereof, complementary strand of the DNA, a protein encoded by the DNA, a vector containing the DNA, a transformant containing the vector, an antibody against the protein, a method for identifying a compound that regulates functions and/or expression of the protein using aforementioned members, an agent for improving and a method for improving depression state, a pharmaceutical composition, and a reagent kit.

28 . An isolated antibody that immunologically recognizes a protein encoded by a DNA selected from the following group consisting of:
(i) a DNA consisting of a base sequence encoding a protein consisting of the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2, 16, or 18, or a complementary strand thereof; and (ii) a DNA comprising the DNA of (i) and encoding a protein having a function equivalent to a function of the protein encoded by the base sequence of the DNA of (i), or a complementary strand thereof,
wherein the function of the protein encoded by the base sequence of the DNA of (i) is produced by binding with a peptide selected from
(a) cholecystokinin octapeptide sulfated form (CCK-8S) consisting of the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:14; or
(b) a peptide comprising an addition of one amino acid in the amino acid sequence of CCK-8S and having an effect equivalent to CCK-8S on the function of said protein.
29 . The isolated antibody according to claim 28 , wherein the DNA is selected from the following group consisting of:
(iii) a DNA consisting of a base sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 1, 15, or 17, or a complementary strand thereof; and (iv) a DNA comprising the DNA of (iii) and encoding a protein having a function equivalent to a function of the protein encoded by the base sequence of the DNA of (iii), or a complementary strand thereof;
wherein the function of the protein encoded by the base sequence of the DNA of (iii) is produced by binding with a peptide selected from
(a) cholecystokinin octapeptide sulfated form (CCK-8S) consisting of the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:14 or
(b) a peptide comprising an addition of one amino acid in the amino acid sequence of CCK-8S and having an effect equivalent to CCK-8S on the function of said protein.
30 . The isolated antibody according to claim 28 , wherein the protein is selected from the following group consisting of:
(1) a protein consisting of an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO: 2, 16, or 18; and (2) a protein comprising the protein of (1) and having a function equivalent to a function of the protein of (1);
wherein the function of the protein of (1) is produced by binding with a peptide selected from
(a) cholecystokinin octapeptide sulfated form (CCK-8S) consisting of the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:14 or
(b) a peptide comprising an addition of one amino acid in the amino acid sequence of CCK-8S and having an effect equivalent to CCK-8S on the function of said protein.
31 . A pharmaceutical composition comprising the isolated antibody of claim 28 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
32 . A reagent kit comprising the isolated antibody of claim 28 .
33 . A reagent kit comprising the isolated antibody of claim 29 .
