Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
- 14 . (canceled)

. A method of lowering plasma glucagon in a human in need thereof comprising administering to the human a therapeutically effective amount of a peptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:45, 46, or 48 to lower plasma glucagon.

. The method of claim 15 , wherein the human has necrolytic migratory erythema.

. The method of claim 15 , wherein the human has glucagonoma.

. The method of claim 15 , wherein the human has type 2 diabetes.

. The method of claim 15 , comprising administering to the human a therapeutically effective amount of a peptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:45.

. The method of claim 19 , wherein Xaa 1 is 4-imidazopropionyl in SEQ ID NO:45.

. The method of claim 19 , Xaa 2 is Gly in SEQ ID NO:45.

. The method of claim 19 , wherein Xaa 14 is Leu, pentylglycine, or Met in SEQ ID NO:45.

. The method of claim 19 , wherein Xaa 25 is Trp or Phe in SEQ ID NO:45.

. The method of claim 15 , comprising administering to the human a therapeutically effective amount of a peptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:46.

. The method of claim 24 , wherein Xaa 1 is His or 4-imidazopropionyl in SEQ ID NO:46.

. The method of claim 24 , Xaa 2 is Gly in SEQ ID NO:46.

. The method of claim 24 , wherein Xaa 14 is Leu, pentylglycine, or Met in SEQ ID NO:46.

. The method of claim 24 , wherein Xaa 25 is Trp or Phe in SEQ ID NO:46.

. The method of claim 15 , comprising administering to the human a therapeutically effective amount of a peptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:48.

. The method of claim 29 , wherein Xaa 1 is His or 4-imidazopropionyl in SEQ ID NO:48.

. The method of claim 29 , wherein Xaa 14 is Leu, pentylglycine, or Met in SEQ ID NO:48.

. The method of claim 29 , wherein Xaa 25 is Trp or Phe in SEQ ID NO:48.

. A method of suppressing glucagon secretion in a human in need thereof comprising administering to the human a therapeutically effective amount of a peptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:45, 46, or 48 to suppress glucagon secretion.
