Deposit For Non-Account Holders
Abstract
Systems and methods for depositing monetary funds into an account are described. A first request from a first individual to deposit monetary funds into an account associated with an entity may be received. The first individual is not an account owner of the account. Monetary funds from the first individual may be received for deposit in the account. The monetary funds may include cash, checks, credit card transfers, and/or debit card transfers. The receipt of the first request may be receipt of a paper ticket with an access code authorizing deposit of monetary funds into the account. One or more restrictions may be reviewed to authorize the deposit of monetary funds in the account.

receiving, at a computer, a first request from a first individual to deposit monetary funds into an account associated with an entity, the first individual not being an account owner of the account; and receiving, at the computer, monetary funds from the first individual for deposit in the account.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the receiving, at the computer, monetary funds includes receiving an authorization input from the first individual to make a deposit of an amount of monetary funds to the account.
3 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising outputting a request for the authorization input from the first individual to make the deposit of the amount of monetary funds to the account.
4 . The method of claim 2 , the method further comprising transferring the amount of monetary funds to the account.

The method of claim 1 , wherein the first individual is an owner of a different account associated with the entity, the method further comprising outputting, to a display associated with the computer, a message requesting a second request to access a user interface for the different account or the first request to deposit monetary funds into the account associated with the entity.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the monetary funds includes at least one of: cash and at least one check.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the receiving, at the computer, the first request includes receiving, at the computer, a paper ticket including an access code, the access code permitting the first individual to deposit monetary funds into the account associated with the entity.

The method of claim 1 , wherein the first individual is an owner of a different account associated with the entity, the receiving, at the computer, monetary funds includes receiving an authorization input from the first individual to transfer an amount of monetary funds to the account from the different account.

The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining, by the computer, whether the first individual is authorized to deposit monetary funds into the account, the receiving, at the computer, monetary funds from the first individual responsive to determining that the first individual is authorized to deposit monetary funds into the account.
10 . The method of claim 9 , the determining whether the first individual is authorized to deposit monetary funds into the account including determining if at least one restriction prevents authorization to deposit monetary funds into the account.
11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the at least restriction includes a period of time deposit of monetary funds into the account is authorized.
12 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the at least one restriction includes a threshold amount of monetary funds permitted to be deposited in the account.
13 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the at least one restriction includes a maximum amount of monetary funds permitted to be deposited in the account.
14 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the receiving, at the computer, the first request includes scanning, by the computer from a mobile terminal, an access code, the access code permitting the first individual to deposit monetary funds into the account associated with the entity.
15 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the receiving, at the computer, the first request includes receiving, at the computer via an RFID, an access code, the access code permitting the first individual to deposit monetary funds into the account associated with the entity.
16 . An apparatus comprising:
at least one scanner configured to capture, from a first individual, data representative of an access code, the first individual not being an account owner of the account, the access code permitting the first individual to deposit monetary funds into the account associated with the entity; at least one deposit unit configured to receive monetary funds from the first individual for deposit in the account; at least one processor; and at least one memory having stored therein computer executable instructions, that when executed by the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to perform a method of:
receiving, at the at least one scanner, a first request from the first individual to deposit monetary funds into the account associated with the entity, and
receiving, at the at least one deposit unit, monetary funds from the first individual for deposit in the account.

The apparatus of claim 16 , further comprising at least one display, including a touch screen capability for receiving inputs from the first individual, configured to output a request for an authorization input from the first individual to make the deposit of the amount of monetary funds to the account and to receive the authorization input from the first individual to make the deposit of the amount of monetary funds to the account.
18 . The apparatus of claim 17 , the at least one display further configured to output a message requesting a second request to access a user interface for a different account or the first request to deposit monetary funds into the account associated with the entity.
19 . The apparatus of claim 16 , further comprising at least one printer configured to output a paper ticket including the access code, the access code permitting the first individual to deposit monetary funds into the account associated with the entity.

The apparatus of claim 16 , the computer executable instructions, that when executed by the at least one processor, further cause the apparatus to perform determining whether the first individual is authorized to deposit monetary funds into the account, the receiving, at the at least one deposit unit, monetary funds from the first individual responsive to determining that the first individual is authorized to deposit monetary funds into the account.
21 . The apparatus of claim 20 , the determining whether the first individual is authorized to deposit monetary funds into the account including determining if at least one restriction prevents authorization to deposit monetary funds into the account.
22 . The apparatus of claim 16 , wherein the receiving, at the at least one scanner, the first request includes scanning, from a mobile terminal, the access code.
23 . The apparatus of claim 16 , wherein the receiving, at the at least one scanner, the first request includes reading, via an RFID, the access code.
24 . One or more computer-readable media storing computer-readable instructions that, when executed by at least one computer, cause the at least one computer to perform a method of:
receiving a first request from a first individual to deposit monetary funds into an account associated with an entity, the first individual not being an account owner of the account; and receiving monetary funds from the first individual for deposit in the account.

The one or more computer-readable media of claim 24 , the computer-readable instructions that, when executed by at least one computer, further cause the at least one computer to perform receiving an authorization input from the first individual to make a deposit of an amount of monetary funds to the account.
26 . The one or more computer-readable media of claim 24 , wherein the receiving the first request includes receiving a paper ticket including an access code, the access code permitting the first individual to deposit monetary funds into the account associated with the entity.

The one or more computer-readable media of claim 24 , wherein the first individual is an owner of a different account associated with the entity, the receiving monetary funds includes receiving an authorization input from the first individual to transfer an amount of monetary funds to the account from the different account.

The one or more computer-readable media of claim 24 , the computer-readable instructions that, when executed by at least one computer, further cause the at least one computer to perform determining whether the first individual is authorized to deposit monetary funds into the account, the receiving monetary funds from the first individual responsive to determining that the first individual is authorized to deposit monetary funds into the account.Cited by (0)
