Medium accommodation cassette and recording apparatus

Abstract

A medium accommodation cassette includes: a medium accommodation portion that accommodates a medium; a wall portion of the medium accommodation portion; an edge guide that is provided in the medium accommodation portion to restrict a position of an end portion of the medium; and an engagement portion that is provided in the wall portion and can be engaged with the edge guide, wherein the edge guide is engaged with the wall portion, whereby the wall portion and the edge guide restrict the position of the end portion of the medium.

1 . A medium accommodation cassette comprising:
 a medium accommodation portion that accommodates a medium;   a wall portion of the medium accommodation portion;   an edge guide that is provided in the medium accommodation portion to restrict a position of an end portion of the medium; and   an engagement portion that is provided in the wall portion and can be engaged with the edge guide,   wherein the edge guide is engaged with the wall portion, whereby the wall portion and the edge guide restrict the position of the end portion of the medium.   
     
     
         2 . The medium accommodation cassette according to  claim 1 ,
 wherein the edge guide has a surface that faces a placing surface of the medium of the medium accommodation portion, and includes a protrusion portion that does not come into contact with the wall portion.   
     
     
         3 . The medium accommodation cassette according to  claim 1 ,
 wherein the edge guide has a first edge guide that restricts a position of a first end portion of the medium, and a second edge guide that restricts a position of a second end portion facing the first end portion, and the thickness of the thickest place in a place restricting the end portion of the medium in the second edge guide is thicker than the thickness of the thickest place in a place restricting the end portion of the medium in the first edge guide.   
     
     
         4 . The medium accommodation cassette according to  claim 3 ,
 wherein the first edge guide is formed in the same color as that of the medium accommodation portion of the medium accommodation cassette, and the second edge guide is formed in a color different from that of the medium accommodation portion of the medium accommodation cassette.   
     
     
         5 . A recording apparatus comprising:
 amounting target portion on which the medium accommodation cassette according to  claim 3  is mounted, and   another constituent member of the recording apparatus that is disposed in the first edge guide side adjacently to the mounting target portion.   
     
     
         6 . The recording apparatus according to  claim 5 ,
 wherein the mounting target portion and the other constituent member is partitioned by abase frame that is a frame material of the recording apparatus, and   wherein a part between the wall portion and the other constituent member in the base frame has a plate shape and is extended along the wall portion.
