Abstract
The present invention relates to a moisture barrier for the protection of internal environment of sensitive devices comprising a homogeneous dispersion of superficially functionalized containing surface modifying organic group belonging to the same chemical class of at least one functional group of the polymeric compound, to a process for the production of said barrier and to sensitive device comprising such barriers.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A composite material comprising a homogeneous dispersion of superficially functionalized nanozeolites in a polymerizable compound, wherein said nanozeolites contain surface modifying organic groups belonging to the same chemical class of at least one functional group of the polymerizable compound, said composite material capable of being a barrier against H2O.
2 . The composite material according to claim 1 wherein the surface modifying organic group of the nanozeolites is the same of at least one functional group of the polymerizable compound.
3 . The composite material according to claim 1 , wherein said functionalization on the superficially modified nanozeolites comprises aromatic groups.
4 . The composite material according to claim 3 , wherein said aromatic groups are phenyl groups.
5 . The composite material according to claim 1 , wherein at least one of the surface modifying organic groups is an aliphatic group.
6 . The composite material according to claim 2 , wherein the surface modifying group of the nanozeolites is a polymerizable group.
7 . The composite material according to claim 6 , wherein the surface modifying group is a glycidoxy, an acrylic or a methacrylic group.
