Abstract

A display module includes a panel module and a frame and is able to be assembled to a cover to form a display device. At first, the panel module is provided that includes the first side and the second side and then a frame is provided, where the frame has an opening. Then, the second side of the panel module is adhered to the frame and covers the opening to form the display module, where the frame is the only structure substantially providing support to the panel module and the first side of the panel module includes a display region. Finally, a cover is fixed to the frame to form the display device, where a sidewall of the cover is snapped to the frame. The cover and the frame provide support to the panel module to strengthen a structural strength of the display module.

Claims

1 . A method for assembling a display module, comprising:
 (a) providing a panel module with a first side and a second side; (b) providing a frame, wherein the frame has an opening; and (c) adhering the second side of the panel module to the frame and covering the opening to form the display module, wherein the first side of the panel module comprises a display region and the frame is the only structure substantially providing support to the panel module.

2 . The method for assembling the display module as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the panel module is substantially securely affixed to the frame by an adhesive, and the adhesive comprises an epoxy resin.

3 . The method for assembling the display module as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the frame surrounds the panel module and is adhered to the panel module.

4 . The method for assembling the display module as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the opening increases a brightness of the display region.

5 . The method for assembling the display module as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the display module has a backlight source and a step of adhering the panel module to the frame comprises:
(b1) adhering a backlight module of the panel module to a second supporting portion of the frame along a direction, wherein the direction is a normal vector of the display region and the backlight module comprises a light source, a reflector plate, light guide plate, and an optical film set.; and (b2) adhering a glass module of the panel module to a first supporting portion of the frame along the direction, wherein the glass module comprises a first glass plate and a second glass plate, wherein a liquid crystal layer is disposed between the first glass plate and the second glass plate.

6 . The method for assembling the display module as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the first supporting portion is located on the frame at a position outer than that of the second supporting portion.

7 . The method for assembling the display module as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the display module does not have a backlight source and the step of adhering the panel module to the frame further comprises:
adhering a glass module of the panel module to a supporting portion of the frame, wherein the glass module comprises a first glass plate and a second glass plate, and an organic light emitting layer is disposed between the first glass plate and the second glass plate.

8 . The method for assembling the display module as claimed in claim 1 , further comprises:
after the display module is assembled, snapping a first fixing portion of a cover to a second fixing portion of the frame to fix the cover to the display module to form a display device.

9 . The method for assembling the display module as claimed in claim 8 , further comprises:
after the display device is assembled, assembling a trim strip around periphery of the panel module to protect the panel module.

10 . The method for assembling the display module as claimed in claim 8 , wherein after the cover is fixed to the frame, a sidewall of the cover covers a sidewall of the frame to avoid light leakage of the display device.

11 . A method for assembling a display device, comprising:
 (a) providing a frame; (b) providing a panel module with a first side and a second side; (c) adhering the second side of the panel module to the frame to form a display module, wherein the first side of the panel module comprises a display region; and (d) fixing a cover to the frame, wherein the cover is adjacent to the second side to form the display device, and the frame and the cover provide support to the panel module.

12 . The method for assembling the display device as claimed in claim 11 , wherein the panel module is substantially securely affixed to the frame by an adhesive, and the adhesive comprises an epoxy resin.

13 . The method for assembling the display device as claimed in claim 11 , wherein the frame surrounds the panel module and is adhered to the panel module.

14 . The method for assembling the display device as claimed in claim 11 , wherein the frame has an opening, and the panel module covers the opening, and the opening increases a brightness of the display region.

15 . The method for assembling the display device as claimed in claim 11 , wherein the display module has a backlight source and a step of adhering the panel module to the frame comprises:
(b1) adhering a backlight module of the panel module to a second supporting portion of the frame along a direction, wherein the direction is a normal vector of the display region and the backlight module comprises a light source, a reflector plate, light guide plate, and an optical film set; and (b2) adhering a glass module of the panel module to a first supporting portion of the frame along the direction, wherein the glass module comprises a first glass plate and a second glass plate, wherein a liquid crystal layer is disposed between the first glass plate and the second glass plate.
