Abstract

Novel polypeptide combinations, polynucleotides encoding the polypeptides, and related compositions and methods are disclosed for zcytor17-containing multimeric or heterodimer cytokine receptors that may be used as novel cytokine antagonists, and within methods for detecting ligands that stimulate the proliferation and/or development of hematopoietic, lymphoid and myeloid cells in vitro and in vivo. The present invention also includes methods for producing the multimeric or heterodimeric cytokine receptor, uses therefor and antibodies thereto.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An isolated monoclonal antibody or fragment thereof which specifically binds to a heterodimeric receptor comprising first receptor and a second receptor, wherein the first receptor comprises of amino acid residues 20-519 of SEQ ID NO:111 and the second receptor comprises amino acid residues 28-739 of SEQ ID NO:7, and wherein the monoclonal antibody or fragment thereof blocks signal transduction through the heterodimeric receptor by a polypeptide comprising amino acid residues 27-164 of SEQ ID NO:2.

2 . The monoclonal antibody or fragment thereof of claim 1 , wherein the antibody fragment is a Fab, a F(ab′) 2 or a single chain antibody.

3 . The monoclonal antibody or fragment thereof of claim 1 , wherein the monoclonal antibody or fragment thereof is chimeric.

4 . The monoclonal antibody or fragment thereof of claim 1 , wherein the monoclonal antibody or fragment thereof is humanized.

5 . The monoclonal antibody or fragment thereof of claim 1 , wherein the monoclonal antibody or fragment thereof is human.

6 . A composition comprising the monoclonal antibody or fragment thereof of claim 1 and a pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle.

7 . The monoclonal antibody or fragment thereof of claim 1 , wherein the monoclonal antibody or fragment thereof specifically binds to the first receptor of the heterodimeric receptor.
