Abstract

The patent application relates to a laundry machine comprising a tub, a drum, a drive assembly, a housing and a suspension assembly to reduce vibration of the drum wherein distance between front and rear bearings ( 491, 492 ), a diameter, a length or a volume (I) of the drum are greater than the same of the related art laundry machine.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A laundry machine comprising:
a tub to hold water therein; a drum rotatably placed in the tub; a drive assembly including a shaft connected to the drum, a bearing housing to rotatably support the shaft, and a motor to rotate the shaft; and a suspension assembly to reduce vibration of the drum; wherein a diameter of the drum is equal to or greater than 9 times of a length of a portion of the shaft inserted in the bearing housing.

2 . The laundry machine as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the diameter of the drum is equal to or smaller than 11.5 times of the length of the portion of the shaft.

         3 . A laundry machine comprising:
a tub to hold water therein; a drum rotatably placed in the tub; a drive assembly including a shaft connected to the drum, a bearing housing to rotatably support the shaft, and a motor to rotate the shaft; and a suspension assembly to reduce vibration of the drum; wherein a length of the drum is equal to or greater than 6.5 times of a length of a portion of the shaft inserted in the bearing housing.

4 . The laundry machine as claimed in claim 3 , wherein the length of the drum is defined as a length between front and rear walls of the drum or a length of a drum center of the drum.

5 . The laundry machine as claimed in claim 4 , wherein the length of the drum is equal to or smaller than 8.6 times of the length of the portion of the shaft.

         6 . A laundry machine comprising:
a tub to hold water therein; a drum rotatably placed in the tub; a drive assembly including a shaft connected to the drum, a bearing housing to rotatably support the shaft, and a motor to rotate the shaft; and a suspension assembly to reduce vibration of the drum; wherein a volume[l] of the drum is equal to or greater than 1.3 times of a length[mm] of a portion of the shaft inserted in the bearing housing.

7 . The laundry machine as claimed in claim 6 , wherein the volume[l] of the drum is equal to or smaller than 1.7 times of the length[mm] of the portion of the shaft.

8 . The laundry machine as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the suspension assembly is attached to the bearing housing.

9 . The laundry machine as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising:
a flexible material to prevent the water inside the tub from leaking toward the drive assembly and allow the drive assembly to move relatively to the tub.

10 . The laundry machine as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the tub is supported more rigidly than the drum is.

         11 . A laundry machine comprising:
a tub to hold water therein; a drum rotatably placed in the tub; a drive assembly including a shaft connected to the drum, a bearing housing having two bearings to rotatably support the shaft, and a motor to rotate the shaft; and a suspension assembly to reduce vibration of the drum; wherein a volume[l] of the drum is equal to or greater than 1.3 times of a distance[mm] between the two bearings, a length of the drum is equal to or greater than 6.5 times of the distance, and a diameter of the drum is equal to or greater than 9 times of the distance.
