Abstract
Provided is a fuel conversion system adapted for operation engagement with either of a first associated fluid fuel source or a second associated fluid fuel source. The fuel conversion system may comprise a convertible regulator, a fuel distribution, and a transmission. A convertible regulator may be adapted to receive either a first fluid fuel or a second fluid fuel. A fuel distribution valve may be operatively engaged with said convertible regulator. A transmission may be operatively engaged to said fuel distribution valve and operatively engaged with the convertible regulator.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A fuel conversion system comprising:
a convertible regulator adapted to receive either a first fluid fuel or a second fluid fuel; a fuel distribution valve operatively engaged with said convertible regulator; and a transmission operatively engaged to said fuel distribution valve and operatively engaged with the convertible regulator.
2 . A fuel conversion system comprising:
adaptations for operational engagement with either of a first associated fluid fuel source or a second associated fluid fuel source; adaptations for engagement with a first associated fluid fuel receptacle device adapted to use a first fuel and a second associated fluid fuel receptacle device adapted to use a second fuel; a convertible regulator comprising,
a regulator input adapted to receive a fluid fuel from either the first associated fluid fuel source or the second associated fluid fuel source,
a regulator output adapted to output the fluid fuel at a selectable regulated output pressure,
a rotatable adjustor adapted to permit selection of the regulated output pressure among a range of pressures including a first pressure appropriate to a first fluid fuel and a second pressure appropriate to a second fluid fuel by rotation of said rotatable adjustor;
a fuel distribution valve comprising,
a valve body defining an interior region and a plurality of apertures, said apertures comprising
a plurality of inlets comprising,
a first inlet adapted to provide fluid communication between said regulator output and said interior region, and a second inlet adapted to provide fluid communication between said regulator output and said interior region,
a plurality of outlets comprising
a first set of outlets wherein each outlet is in selectable fluid communication with said first inlet, comprising
a first outlet, and
a second outlet
a second set of outlets wherein each outlet is in selectable fluid communication with said second inlet, comprising
a first outlet, and
a second outlet,
a diverter rotatably engaged with the valve body, said diverter adapted to permit selection by rotation thereof of the selectable fluid communication between
the first set of outlets and said first inlet, and
the second set of outlets and the second inlet, and
a valve stem operably engaged with said diverter, said valve stem adapted to rotate said diverter when said valve stem is rotated; and
a transmission operatively engaged to said fuel distribution valve and operatively engaged with the convertible regulator, said transmission comprising,
a first gear operatively engaged with said valve stem,
a second gear operatively engaged said first gear to rotate in response to rotation of the first gear, said second gear operatively engaged with said rotatable adjustor.
3 . A heater comprising,
a first burner adapted to use natural gas; a second burner adapted to use propane; an oxygen depletion sensor adapted to use either natural gas or propane; and a fuel conversion system comprising,
adaptations for operational engagement with either of an associated natural gas source, or an associated propane source,
adaptations for engagement with the first burner, the second burner, and the oxygen depletion sensor,
a convertible regulator comprising,
a regulator input adapted to receive a fluid fuel from either the associated natural gas source or the associated propane source,
a regulator output adapted to output the fluid fuel at a selectable regulated output pressure,
a rotatable adjustor adapted to permit selection of the regulated output pressure among a range of pressures including a first pressure appropriate to natural gas and a second pressure appropriate to propane by rotation of said rotatable adjustor,
a fuel distribution valve comprising,
a valve body defining an interior region and a plurality of apertures, said apertures comprising
a plurality of inlets comprising,
a first inlet adapted to provide fluid communication between said regulator output and said interior region, and
a second inlet adapted to provide fluid communication between said regulator output and said interior region,
a plurality of outlets comprising
a first set of outlets wherein each outlet is in selectable fluid communication with said first inlet, comprising
a first outlet, and
a second outlet
a second set of outlets wherein each outlet is in selectable fluid communication with said second inlet, comprising
a first outlet, and
a second outlet,
a diverter rotatably engaged with the valve body, said diverter adapted to permit selection by rotation thereof of the selectable fluid communication between
the first set of outlets and said first inlet, and
the second set of outlets and the second inlet, and
a valve stem operably engaged with said diverter, said valve stem
adapted to rotate said diverter when said valve stem is rotated; and
a transmission operatively engaged to said fuel distribution valve and operatively engaged with the convertible regulator, said transmission comprising,
a first gear operatively engaged with said valve stem,
a second gear operatively engaged said first gear to rotate in response to rotation of the first gear, said second gear operatively engaged with said rotatable adjustor.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
