Abstract

The invention relates to a method and to a device for carrying out this method, during which the shell molds are filled with a melt, a clocked manner, the respectively required amount of melt being currently provided at the same time. The casting process ensues by marrying the crucible which is filled with a melt with a shell mold so that the crucible and shell mold form a common cavity and this arrangement is subsequently titled 180° C. so that the melt falls into the shell mold.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 - 15 . (canceled)

16 . A device for performing the method as claimed in claim 16 , comprising of a casting chamber, in which a crucible with molten material and a shell mold are made available at a clocked rate, wherein a casting means is disposed in the casting chamber, wherein the casting means is capable of joining the crucible and the shell mold such that the shell mold after inversion rests on the margin of the crucible, and which is additionally capable of tilting the shell mold joined with the crucible about a horizontal axis by more than 90E.

17 . The device as claimed in claim 16 , wherein the casting chamber is preceded by a melting chamber, into which the crucibles filled with an ingot are introduced at a clocked rate and are exposed to an energy source which melts the ingot in the crucible.

18 . The device as claimed in claim 16 , wherein the melting chamber is provided with an induction heater.

19 . The device as claimed in claim 16 , wherein the shell mold is a lost mold which is supplied at a clocked rate to the casting chamber via an infeed means.

20 . The device as claimed in claim 16 , wherein the shell mold is a two-part shell mold which is disposed in the casting chamber.

21 . A device as claimed in claim 16 , wherein the casting chamber is a vacuum chamber which includes a vacuum connection to which a vacuum facility is connected.

22 . A device as claimed in claim 16 , wherein the casting means is provided with a heater.
