Visualization system(s) and method(s) for preserving or augmenting resolution and data associated with zooming or paning in an industrial automation environment
Abstract
A visualization system that preserves, augments or increases resolution of images within an industrial automation environment is provided. A reference component identifies, determines, or maps level of zooming or panning in connection with an image within an industrial automation environment, the image data located at a first source. A resolution component retrieves image data from a second sources that is different from the first source, the retrieved image data corresponding to specific portions of the image, the resolution component retrieving the image data from the second source as a function of the level of zooming or panning. A visualization component generates a visualization of the image, and receives the retrieved image data from the resolution component to preserve, augment, or enhance resolution of the image as a function of the zooming or panning.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 22 . (canceled)
23 . A system, comprising:
at least one microprocessor; at least one memory communicatively coupled to the at least one microprocessor, the at least one memory having stored therein computer-executable instructions, comprising:
a reference component configured to determine a level of zooming or panning in connection with an image within an industrial automation environment;
a context component configured to determine an area of focus;
a resolution component configured to retrieve additional image data corresponding to the area of focus; and
a visualization component configured to generate a visualization as a function of the level of zooming or panning based upon at least one of the image or additional image data.
24 . The system of claim 23 , wherein the resolution component is further configured to pre-cache the retrieved additional image data corresponding to the specific portions of the image associated with the zooming or panning.
25 . The system of claim 23 , wherein the additional image data comprises a higher resolution image of the area of focus than is included in the image.
26 . The system of claim 23 , wherein the additional image data comprises a supplemental image related to at least a portion of an industrial device in the area of focus.
27 . The system of claim 23 , wherein the additional image data comprises documentation related to at least a portion of an industrial device in the area of focus.
28 . The system of claim 23 , wherein the additional image data comprises links to sources of information related to at least industrial device in the area of focus.
29 . The system of claim 23 , wherein the area of focus is based upon a received search query.
30 . A method for preserving, augmenting or increasing resolution of images within an industrial automation environment, comprising:
employing one or more microprocessors executing computer executable instructions embodied on one or more non-transitory computer readable storage mediums to perform the following:
determining a level of zooming or panning in connection with an image within an industrial automation environment;
determining an area of focus;
retrieving additional image data corresponding to the area of focus; and
generating a visualization as a function of the level of zooming or panning based upon at least one of the image or additional image data.
31 . The method of claim 30 , further comprising pre-caching the retrieved additional image data corresponding to the specific portions of the image associated with the zooming or panning.
32 . The method of claim 30 , wherein the additional image data comprises a higher resolution image of the area of focus than is included in the image.
33 . The method of claim 30 , wherein the additional image data comprises a supplemental image related to at least a portion of an industrial device in the area of focus.
34 . The method of claim 30 , wherein the additional image data comprises documentation related to at least a portion of an industrial device in the area of focus.
35 . The method of claim 30 , wherein the additional image data comprises links to sources of information related to at least industrial device in the area of focus.
36 . The method of claim 30 , wherein the area of focus is determined based upon a received search query.
37 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having instructions stored thereon that, in response to execution, cause at least one device to perform operations comprising:
determining a level of zooming or panning in connection with an image within an industrial automation environment; determining an area of focus; retrieving additional image data corresponding to the area of focus; and generating a visualization as a function of the level of zooming or panning based upon at least one of the image or additional image data.
38 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 37 , further comprising pre-caching the retrieved additional image data corresponding to the specific portions of the image associated with the zooming or panning.
39 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 37 , wherein the additional image data comprises a higher resolution image of the area of focus than is included in the image.
40 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 37 , wherein the additional image data comprises a supplemental image related to at least a portion of an industrial device in the area of focus.
41 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 37 , wherein the additional image data comprises documentation related to at least a portion of an industrial device in the area of focus.
42 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 37 , wherein the additional image data comprises links to sources of information related to at least industrial device in the area of focus.
43 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 37 , wherein the area of focus is determined based upon a received search query.
44 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 37 , further comprising determining a context associated with the area of focus.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
