Abstract

A method for treating adult onset neurodegenerative diseases and diabetes by administering an effective dose of Granulocyte-Colony Stimulating Factors.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 - 24 . (canceled)

25 . A method of reducing blood glucose level for at least 4 weeks in Type 2 diabetes in a human comprising:
 a. treating human stem cells in vitro with an effective dose of Granulocyte-Colony Stimulating Factor; and b. injecting an effective amount of said treated human stem cells into a human.

26 . The method of claim 25 , monitoring blood glucose level and repeating a course of a Granulocyte-Colony Stimulating Factor every 2 to 18 weeks when blood glucose level is elevated over normal blood glucose level.

27 . The method of claim 25 , wherein said human stem cells are selected from a group consisting of harvested umbilical stem cells, adult stem cells, progenitor stem cells, or stem cell lines.

28 . The method of claim 25 , further comprising administering said human with an effective dose of second compound or molecule that enhances or elevates a population of progenitor cells or stem cells.

29 . The method of claim 28 wherein is said second compound is AMD100 or identical compound.

30 . A method of reducing blood glucose level for at least 4 weeks in Type 2 diabetes in a human comprising:
 a. injecting an effective amount of said human stem cells into a human; and b. administering course of an effective dose of a Granulocyte-Colony Stimulating Factor.

31 . The method of claim 30 , further comprising monitoring blood glucose level after the administration of an effective dose of Granulocyte-Colony Stimulating Factor and repeating a course of a Granulocyte-Colony Stimulating Factor every 2 to 18 weeks when blood glucose level is elevated over normal blood glucose level.

32 . The method of claim 30 , further comprising administering said human with an effective dose of second compound or molecule that enhances or elevates a population of progenitor cells or stem cells.

33 . The method of claim 30 , wherein said human stem cells are harvested from a human after the administration of an effective dose of Granulocyte-Colony Stimulating Factor.

34 . The method of claim 33 , wherein said harvested human stem cells are selected from a group consisting of adult stem cells, progenitor stem cells, or stem cell lines.

35 . The method of claim 34 , wherein is said second compound is AMD100 or identical compound.
