Abstract
Cytokines and their receptors have proven usefulness in both basic research and as therapeutics. The present invention provides a new human cytokine receptor designated as “Zcytor16.”
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An isolated antibody, or antibody fragment thereof, that specifically binds with a polypeptide consisting of an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of:
(a) amino acid residues 28 to 231 of SEQ ID NO:2; (b) amino acid residues 23 to 230 of SEQ ID NO:2; (c) amino acid residues 23 to 231 of SEQ ID NO:2; and (d) amino acid residues 22 to 230 of SEQ ID NO:2.
2 . The isolated antibody, or antibody fragment thereof, of claim 1 , wherein the antibody specifically binds a polypeptide consisting of amino acid residues 28 to 231 of SEQ ID NO:2.
3 . The isolated antibody, or antibody fragment thereof, of claim 1 , wherein the antibody is a polyclonal antibody or monoclonal antibody.
4 . The isolated antibody, or antibody fragment thereof, of claim 1 , wherein the antibody is a murine, humanized, chimeric, or human antibody.
5 . The antibody fragment of claim 1 , wherein the fragment is selected from the group consisting of a F(ab′) 2 , F(ab) 2 , Fab′, Fab, Fv, and scFv.
6 . The isolated antibody, or antibody fragment thereof, of claim 1 , wherein the isolated antibody, or antibody fragment thereof, is conjugated to a therapeutic agent or a detectable label.
7 . The isolated antibody, or antibody fragment thereof, of claim 6 , wherein the detectable label is selected from the group consisting of a radioisotope, a fluorescent label, a chemiluminescent label, an enzyme label, and a bioluminescent label or colloidal gold.
8 . The isolated antibody, or antibody fragment thereof, of claim 6 , wherein the therapeutic agent is selected from the group consisting of drug, toxin, cytokine, and radionucleotide.
9 . A composition comprising the antibody, or antibody fragment thereof, of claim 1 , and a carrier.
10 . A method for inducing target cell lysis or tissue ablation in a subject comprising administering to the subject an antibody, or antibody fragment thereof, of claim 1 , conjugated to a toxin, thereby effecting target cell lysis or tissue ablation.
11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the target cell is a cancer cell.
12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the cancer cell is selected from the group consisting of a lung cancer cell, pancreatic cancer cell, or ovarian cancer cell.
13 . A method of detecting Zcytor16 in a biological sample, comprising contacting the sample with the antibody of claim 1 and then contacting the sample with a detectably labeled molecule which binds to the antibody, thereby detecting Zcytor16 in a biological sample.
14 . A method of blocking IL-TIF activity in vivo by administering to the subject an antibody, or antibody fragment thereof, of claim 1 .Cited by (0)
